🤯 Woah! This new AI paper is legit like Adobe Puppet Warp on steroids 📌 Text prompts aren’t the be-all and end-all of AI creation. DragGAN is a perfect example of giving creators fine-grain control over the AI image generation process. Here’s the TL;DR summary: • 🖌️ DragGAN allows you to reshape images interactively, much like pulling on points in the image to move them exactly where you want. • 🎈 The system relies on two main parts: one that guides the point you're moving (the "handle" point) towards its destination, and another that keeps track of the handle points' position using features specific to the underlying technology, GANs (yes GANs!) • 🎞️ DragGAN is super flexible — you can tweak various aspects of your images, such as pose, shape, and expression. It works on a wide range of subjects, including animals, cars, people, landscapes etc. • 🎭 One of the coolest things about DragGAN is that it operates within the boundaries of the GAN’s latent space. This means it can produce realistic-looking results, even when you're asking it to do challenging tasks like filling in hidden parts of the image or changing shapes while keeping the object's overall rigidity. • 📸 Another exciting application of DragGAN is that it can be used to manipulate real images by converting them into a format that the GAN can understand, a process called GAN inversion. This means you can realistically manipulate real world images that weren’t a part of the GANs training data!
