This is quite possibly the best advice a frustrated driver could get!
Professor Kilomiler once said “The algorithm doesn’t have feelings, neither should you”.
Very smart guy that guy.
A fine journey it was!
I went on a months-long journey to find the best place to pee in American golf. Everyone who read this when it went up Friday seems to have liked it, and laughed 2-4 times. Unfortunately, only six people read it. I call on you to be the 7th: golfdigest.com/story/the-sea…
Is Laporta being taught a lesson for running his mouth on a podcast? I don’t think he’s had a target yet after yapping about his contract negotiations!
I can’t wait till this generation of old people is dead and gone. They are the fucking worst.
MAGA grandpa attacks Black woman U.S. Marine veteran—trying to cast her early vote.
Accuses her of faking being handicapped.
"I am 100% disabled," she says.
"And I served in the Marine Corps as well."
"Handicap isn't how someone looks."
"I'm also a Gold Star Family because my husband and I were dual military."
Woman's car is brand new and still has temporary tags.
Permanent registration is designated for ISA disabled plates—something police can verify.
But because he didn't see a placard hanging in the window, he told her, "You don't look disabled."
Invisible disabilities are still disabilities—you cannot look at somebody and decide whether they are "disabled enough."
Incident occurred at Tompkins High School in Katy, Texas.
Felicia Bratcher doesn’t have an account on this platform—so posting first full length and credited video here to help raise awareness.
The @lyft ping sound is one of my least favorite sounds & legitimately plays a factor in how much time I spend on that platform.
I wish both apps would sell PingTones to the drivers. I would definitely pay to change my dispatch alerts to Shane O Mac’s entrance song.

If only it could be faster. They are the worst.
Houston we have a problem. Terrible drafting on my part. Got cute trying to get both ends of the WAS backfield.
Week 6 @Underdog Eliminator update:
As predicted we had a tough week and only got 2/5 through. But it gets worse.
Both advancing teams have Josh Allen on bye. 🤦🏼‍♂️. Week 7 might be the end of the run unless we get matched up against other Josh Allen teams.
Been trying to tell folks on here that Uber doesn’t make its $ on rides. Rides provide eyeballs for the marketing/subscriptions.
This is why I don’t worry much when my friend @LeviSpires says Uber is in trouble due to pricing practices/AV competition.
Nerd alert 🤓 Researching $UBER on a Saturday night.
They might be building the most underrated subscription machine in tech.
Look at the partnership spree:
• Costco: (Canada, Mexico, and Japan) + 47 states, 600 warehouses on Uber Eats members get 50% off Uber One, and shop grocery deals through the app.
• Loblaw's (Superstore, Shoppers) now live on Uber Eats in Canada
• Best Buy, Home Depot, Lowe's, DSW running $25-off + $0 delivery perks.
• Even INSTACART uses Uber's courier network for restaurant delivery.
• TD Bank handing out free Uber One to cardholder.
• Companies buying Uber One for employees as a workplace perk.
Every single deal funnels people into Uber One. That's recurring revenue, higher order frequency, and locked-in loyalty on top of rides.
Uber isn't a ride company anymore. It's becoming the everything-delivery platform 🚀
I have 7 Mexican restaurants or taco shops within one mile of where I live.
I’m about to hop in my car and drive to the one 3.3 miles away because that’s the chimichanga I want.
Levi going viral! The comments reveal truly how little people pay attention before they start hating. It’s wild.
Your Uber to the airport this morning cost $207.15.
Your driver (me) earned $73.02, or $51.84 after vehicle expenses.
Uber kept $86.52, or 42% of your fare, AFTER insurance, taxes, and other fees.
$86.52 > $73.02.
Uber (software) kept more for arranging the trip than it paid me to drive 60 miles over 74 minutes.
Here’s what makes this interesting. I’m a data guy and I’ve driven this exact airport trip about 190 times over the past few years. Passengers usually pay around $123, and Uber typically keeps 20%.
Today, you paid $84 more than usual. There was nothing in the app explaining the higher price. You just happened to pay significantly more for the same trip, and Uber kept most of that difference.
I’m not complaining about the $73 fare.
I’m pointing out how the system works.
Mom and I in August of 2014 at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester MN. Spent 10 years trying to figure out what was wrong…they figured it out in a week.
She was gone 8 weeks later.
Healing took on a much different meaning at that point and continues today.
