Georgia is suspending standardized testing for the upcoming school year & formal teacher evals and are seeking to permanently cut certain tests. This will also save $10's of millions from the budget that can be used toward teacher pay, etc. Let's hope other states step up!

Admin, as much as possible allow staff that are parents to be parents. Opportunities to watch their child in a skit , recital, award, etc. This may not seem like much but trust me it’s huge!

It’s odd that In the US we spend millions to implement research based practices. BUT, we ignore the extensive research that shows how play, recess, & physical activity, can improve focus, self regulation, and on task behavior, as well as interpersonal skills & mental health.

Its interesting that Finland can go to school only 5 hours per day and yet fit in 15 mins of recess every hour, but in the US we go 7 hours or more and can’t fit in 10 mins total for recess. What a great disservice we do to our students.
