Am amazed -- and fascinated by this saga -- b/c it speaks to need to end Americans' gushing love of celebs.
Imagine rarely using social media (speaking out about wars, children starving, deportations, animal abuse, etc? Nah!) and instead deciding to using it to... bitch about a working-class employee being, at worst, snobbish towards you. Oh, and when you were trying to buy a $15,000 novelty singing bird (so relatable).
We do not hate celebrities enough.

I truly cannot believe that a celebrity would bitch about something like this to millions of people.
Girl. Handle your business. We don't need to know about it. Because at the end of the day, it feels like she's trying to make this a "we the people" type situation when in reality this was a millionaire trying to buy an exclusive FIFTEEN THOUSAND DOLLAR TOY when a miscommunication ensued. Nobody should even pretend to try to relate to this situation because it's absurd.

During school pick-up time in a neighborhood with many schools, agents wearing construction vests and masks surrounded a car with a man and a five-old child inside. They aimed an AR-15 and fired 7 bullets onto the car.
This is not an ICE operation “gone bad”. This is the predictable, PLANNED result of the recruitment, selection, training, operational, investigative, and disciplinary policies of an utterly broken agency that is willfully violating core principles of law enforcement.
Thank god in this case the child was not physically injured. The next time we may not be so lucky. But ICE is set up to ensure that THERE WILL BE A NEXT TIME. This madness has to stop. In NYC and everywhere.

Stop asking people why they don't dress "nice" anymore and start to examine the psychological ramifications of folks globally having to navigate late stage capitalism, prejudice, a chaotic ever- changing word, environmental and AI and threats, government corruption, multiple wars, distrust in media, toxins in food and water, and the NEED of an individual to feel comfort and self soothe somehow amidst all this sh** show.
I honestly don't care if they will walk this earth in a mumu.
Lef ppl business alone, let folks try to seek comfort in their hoodies and mumus and whatever they need,
to feel safe and comforted as a human and fell connected to self and nature somehow.
