A student in our class was able to share everything she has been learning about Braille. We are so proud of her and thankful that she taught us so much! Now everyone wants to write in Braille!!
First 3rd grade Math lesson of the year! Students had to work with a partner to organize cubes to make them easier to count! So many strategies!!
End of the year awards! Happy last day! This group will always have a special place in my heart ❤️ my first 3rd grade class!
Our new favorite spot in the classroom! We created a “Caterpillar City” by displaying our 3D Chicago Landmarks for our growing caterpillars to see! 🌃🐛
Each student surprised me by adding a flower to the bouquet this morning! I have the best students and families 🤍 #TeacherAppreciationWeek
Yesterday we hosted our 3rd grade Wax Museum. Tap them and they can tell you all about themselves! I was able to meet Michael Jordan, Steve Jobs, King Tut, and more!!
Students worked hard to build their own anemometers and measure the wind this week. Our final conclusion: Wednesday was by far the windiest day! 🍃
This is what an engaged class looks like! To start off our Mystery unit students have to become a detective themselves and work together to find out who the secret admirer is! I wonder who it could be? 🕵️♂️🧐
We’re getting close to publishing! Just doing some last second editing work with our Writing partners! 🖊️

Such a fun week filled with hour of code activities! 1st and 3rd grade buddy classes are also creating wevideos about informational texts they read together. Love seeing this collaboration!🤩 @RooseveltD64 @Miss_Bennett7 #engageD64
Over these past few months we’ve learned about Fossils and Native Americans. What better way to celebrate our learning than going to the Field Museum to see the artifacts for ourselves? 🦖 So much fun today!
One of my favorite things: carpet time! Today we decomposed 1 L of water to see what 1 mL looked like!
We were able to pretend like we were a part of the Cheyenne tribe yesterday! We created our own myths using symbols on Buffalo hide! Love being able to celebrate our learning through projects like this! 🤩
