Don’t look away. Don’t look down. Don’t pretend to not see hurt. Look people in the eye. Even when their pain is overwhelming and hard to understand. People need to know they are not alone. They are in pain and their families are in pain.
Spent all day out in SF on Saturday. The fentanyl that is being smoked on the street this weekend has the strongest chemical smell when smoked, would love if someone could test it so we can better understand what is making its way to the streets. Several people open to drug treatment but nothing open for intake on the weekends! 🤯
People often forget that San Francisco’s unhoused community is made up of people who can still love, create art, form friendships, and care deeply for one another. If you take the time to look, you’ll see it. Everyone needs a little color, a rainbow, and a way to show love for an old friend. ❤️🌈
Join us for Overdose Awareness Day for a heartfelt vigil honoring those lost to overdose in San Francisco. This special event will provide luminary bags and candles for attendees to light in memory of their lost loved ones and community members. Together, we will create a space of reflection, support, and solidarity, acknowledging the profound impact of overdose on our community. Your presence will help foster a sense of unity and hope as we remember and honor those we have lost.

My heart is a little broken tonight as I learned that one of the OGs in the Tenderloin passed away. I have known him for many years, he was housed, finally, but guess what San Francisco, it’s not a housing problem but a drug problem. 💔
Please let me help you find your missing loved one. I found a man today that has been missing for 7 years and the mother thought he had passed away. I can’t guarantee that I will find them but I will look for them as if they were my own. ❤️

In person opportunity to connect with others that have lost a loved one to overdose, grief support. 💜
If you pause long enough, you’ll see it, the light. I remember his laugh, his stories, his humanity. We have to do better. Remembering him today ❤️ This isn’t just about one person.
Things need to change.
How we see people. How we treat them. How we show up.
One year ago today, he made the brave decision to go to drug treatment—and today he is still sober!!
This is why we don’t give up. This is why I keep searching, keep advocating, keep believing.
If your loved one is missing—contact me. Evan is proof that people come back.

Five men vanished in San Francisco.
No closure. No answers. No national attention.
They are being forgotten.
The “California Missing 5” are not just cases — they are real people with families still searching, still waiting, still fighting to be heard.
We’re creating a documentary to bring these stories into the light — to ask the questions no one is asking and demand accountability.
Because silence protects broken systems.
And awareness creates pressure.

We’ve normalized survival instead of recovery. People struggling with addiction deserve treatment, not a lifetime of harm reduction. I’m out here this weekend looking for 12 missing loved ones that their families haven’t talked to in years. The sad reality is if I find someone today and they are ready for treatment at this very moment, I have nowhere to take them. It’s Sunday, no intake for anything on a Sunday afternoon, not even methadone. 🙄
You are not here to be loved, comforted, and understood; you are here to love, comfort, and understand.
Grateful that Evan’s story is being told. It’s a powerful reminder that behind every person on the street is a complex life, and if we listen—really listen—we might find the moment where change becomes possible. We all have something to learn from him.

Yesterday was a good day. We celebrated @Gina_McDee ‘s 13 year sobriety and the fact that all of our kids are safe and sober, in the same moment. We are all consumed each day fighting for our kids and yours but yesterday we took a pause and felt victorious and grateful for just a moment. @tanyatilghman @JacquiBerlinn @elleneg @TheWayOutSF
Huge gratitude to @TheWayOutSF @SteveAdami @DarrenNorton20 for delivering on their message of recovery. One of my people this week finally wanted to get out his 5 year cycle of addiction and homelessness in SF and for the first time in many years has taken the first step and has entered treatment!! When they are ready we need to be as well! Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU!! ❤️❤️
Five men have all disappeared from San Francisco under strange circumstances. One of them, on May 21, 2013, 19-year-old Sean Sidi stepped out into the streets of San Francisco... and was never seen again.
Sean had a recent traumatic brain injury prior to his disappearance. His family has searched tirelessly, yet no solid leads have ever emerged. Did he forget who he was, or did someone take him? Could you be the one that helps solve this mystery? Please share and DM me any tips. #missingcalifornia5 #seansidi #missinginsf #sharetosupportthedoc #missingpersons #californiamissingperson
Five men. All missing under strange circumstances in San Francisco. One of them, Cameron Remmer, vanished from the Fairmont Hotel in 2011. Are these cases connected? Was it foul play? A mental health crisis? Over a decade later, the disappearance of Cameron Remmer remains a haunting mystery. Submit tips or let me know what you think in the comments. #MissingPerson #CameronRemmer #UnsolvedMystery #californiamissing5 #missinginSF
Why are people still being turned away from the methadone clinic in SF when they are trying to get off Fentanyl?! We have a Fentanyl state of emergency but we still can’t support them to step 1. 🤯 Wednesday night had a big impact on the community but lots of missed opportunities on Thursday and Friday with lack of access to methadone intake. At this stage in the crisis we should be able to meet this need, no exceptions. @SF_DPH @kunalmodi @DanielLurie @StopDrugDeaths #treatmentondemand
