A heartfelt thank you to all who came along to last night's #SpecialAttraction 📙 event. Great to put faces to some names on here! Special thanks to @MatthewJRudd, @HullCityKits (& #YerMan of course). We shared a few memories & shifted a few books, which was the idea! #hcafc 🐯

And @AndyRoe140 can be rightly proud of those snaps. One upshot of the sad Spiders news has been the amount of cracking pics I've seen shared on social media these past few days. What memories they evoke - when Saturdays meant Syds, City & Spiders... #Hull #InMyDay
Andy Roe took photos in Spiders - between 1984-90 - the Hull nightclub renowned for its iconoclastic music policy. The photos are a wonderful time-capsule of the club's clientele and their clothes. bbc.com/news/uk-england-humb…

Might’ve been better had the smoke not cleared… 😬

Sums it up quite well…
So Spiders Nightclub is up for sale. Manchester had the Hacienda. Hull had Spiders. Here's why it means so much. #spiders #Hull

The shock Spiders news has got several people sharing their personal recollections of the legendary #Hull club on social media. Thankfully, I saved myself such a task, having already recounted the part it played in my early #hcafc-supporting life... 👀

Hearts suffer derby defeat at Hampden Park for the first time. A costly first-half where the team couldn't get any sort of foothold. A lot of huffing and puffing in the second half, but ultimately just not good enough. heartsstandard.co.uk/news/26…

Much better second half but the damage had already been done…

Been battered that first half, and even more injuries. A big one to win from here…

The most amazing, heart-breaking, dramatic start to any documentary series ever. TV at its finest.
31 October 1973. 1st episode of the 26-part classic ITV documentary series World at War was broadcast. It was narrated by Laurence Olivier with music by Carl Davies. It cost £900,000 (worth £11 million today).

Wow! Only just seen this. Congrats @HKRS_Mike, a worthy successor if ever there was one. Go well mate... #UpTheRobins 🔴⚪️
🚨 Announcement 🚨 You may have noticed that I have mentioned that some changes are coming, and that is because I am pleased to confirm that I will be the next Kit and Equipment Manager at Hull KR, a role which has been held by Alan 'Bonesy' Fellows for many years. (1/8)

Probably the most disappointing afternoon so far this season (and there have been a few of them already). Not helped by lack of numbers for the 2nd week running, leading to a 'Dads Army' contingent on at the close! Ah well, an easy one in store next week... 😬🤦🏻‍♂️ #UpTheEz 🔰

There is something quaintly nostalgic about waking up to the sound of foghorns on the Estuary. At least I hope that's what it was... 🤷🏻‍♂️😂 #HumberRivieraLife😎

Superb second half that but needed to kill it off. Rangers were there for the taking. But given the injury situation, it keeps Hearts up there so respect the point… #HHGH
It ends level on Foundation Day.

Private Percy Tolliday of the 11th Battalion, The Middlesex Regiment, has been laid to rest on the Somme alongside two unknown comrades, more than a century after their deaths in the First World War. The men were recovered by our colleagues from our specialist Recovery Unit. Dr Daniel Seaton, CWGC Commemorations Case Officer said: “The three casualties now laid to rest were recovered by our specialist Recovery Unit, not far away from where today’s ceremony has taken place. I am delighted that, following research conducted by ourselves and the JCCC, Private Tolliday has been identified, and remain hopeful that it may also be possible to identify the two Unknown Soldiers in the future. All three are now remembered with honour in the Commission’s Warlencourt British Cemetery” Image: Crown Copyright
