Red/Green alliance? I'm getting enchiladas for lunch.
Good news/Bad news
First the bad news:
-The people who celebrated the murder of Charlie Kirk gained enormous political power last night.
-The Red/Green alliance will continue to grow in power.
-The DSA will continue to grow in power.
-The people who have come here illegally or through a flawed visa system will get away with even more fraud.
-The secure border is in jeopardy and my guess is waves of illegals start pouring into the country again.
-The people who hate our culture and people will double down.
-Law enforcement will be attacked like never before.
-The attack on Christianity will grow.
-The displacement of Americans in colleges and in the workforce will increase.
-The dishonest brokers in the media will ramp up calls of racism and hate for simply wanting to protect America.
-We are all much less safe.
There is some good news:
-In Texas, a Republican majority in the State Senate will be able to stop a lot of what the radical democrats will try.
-The Trump administration still runs the Executive branch for the next two years and should be able to stop some of the crazy in Congress.
-The smaller Republican coalition will have to have an honest conversation about how we move forward.
-Republicans will have to admit they carry some of blame, not just for the last two years, but for decades of not helping our people.
-The realization that 6 million Christians stayed home should wake up dead churches.
-Really bad people, even on our side were totally exposed.
-Democrats will be so radical that the voters will remember how bad they are.
-The pendulum will inevitably swing back in 2028.
-New leaders will emerge and lead the fight to save our state, our country and our culture.

The vote was rigged. Just really clear examples of fraud, especially coming from the South. I mean Texas? Mississippi? Are you serious?
That's the only explanation I can come up with for why a one loss Notre Dame team is #11.

Bad policy, bad character make bad politics: erratic tariffs, impulsive Iran war, blanket pardons, apparent corruption, weaponized justice, ICE brutality, mountainous deficits, hiding Epstein, abandoning allies and coddling enemies. Hoping for a course correction, for the country and for my party.

I’m an ancient historian, not a political pundit, but my two cents. With the richest man failing to earn political prestige at home, I expect Musk will now attempt to lead an army into Parthia.

Senior Advisor to Ken Paxton says “our churches, Christianity—it’s all gone” after the blue wave last night.
If you think Christianity is gone because of these election results, then you weren’t worshipping Jesus… you were worshipping the Republican Party.

To everybody celebrating Greg Abbott’s defeat, what if I told you there was a way to watch an unlikable old guy lose in Texas almost every Sunday?

Who gives a shit about midterms when the CFP committee is defrauding the nation right in front of our eyes.

I'm going to make my rare political post at this time.
If you are going to have purity tests for the candidates that are allowed to be on the ballot, you also need to have purity tests for a bare minimum of character. I don't care how much you love someone's policies. Policies are transferable. You can run someone with the exact same policies who doesn't break every moral and social code whenever he thinks no one is looking. You also can't outsource your policy platform to whatever out of state donor writes the biggest checks. No one is invincible on a Tuesday in November, no matter how much money is in your campaign account.
Now, all that being said, the Democrats have a very important choice to make now. If these candidates have a shred of self awareness, they understand that they got incredibly lucky for being the name on the ballot in the right year. That's the reason they will now take office. They don't have a mandate for taking our state wildly to the left.
If Texas has spoken tonight, the message it has sent is that we don't want radicals and we don't want morally bankrupt individuals running the state. You've got a few years to prove the ads wrong, and build a coalition of good, moderate government. Be Charlie Stenholm and you might stay in power more than a few years. Be Nancy Pelosi and you'll be kicked to the curb as quickly as this rotten Republican leadership core has been.
As a Lubbockite, I am also glad to see that our local delegation has survived. We have a good group that cares about our area. I hope that they now feel free to lead from their own moral fabrics (that I know they have), instead of having to pander to statewide electeds that they know in their heart of hearts don't have our best interests at heart.
Our state has a big opportunity here to cast off the entrenched power that answers to no one, and instead build something that answers to the people. I am hopeful that we can rise to the challenge.
