Objectively: I have seen this called a penalty for less in an era where NASCAR says it's about intent. I am not taking anything away from the drive by the 5 but I certainly think it's a fair question that series officials explain frame-by-frame why it's not a penalty.

Layne Riggs and Corey Heim's NASCAR Truck stats in their first three seasons almost exactly mirror each other. Riggs and Heim earned two wins, three wins and at least six wins in each season and some similar stats otherwise.

Layne Riggs says "there's no pens to paper" for any Cup racing for him. However, he wants to have a year like Corey Heim did where he races Trucks full-time and gets some Cup starts. He said he is "firm" about wanting to make a Cup start by the end of 2027 – to @STaranto92.

Allgaier makes key point in driver beef might impact Chase drivers in Cup race Sunday. My early guess is Sawalich docked points for wrecking Day b/c NASCAR typically dislikes non-Chase drivers impacting Chase drivers. If similar antics Sunday, possibly bigger penalties all around

I don’t think anyone’s questioning 77’s dedication to the fans. I think people are questioning whether actions on the track will be taken seriously. Sooner or later, it’ll catch up because someone will have had enough, and the concern won’t be on the % off at the merch store.

I can confirm he was taken from the track surface to the garage area but he was not removed from the track property. I chatted with him after post-race wrapped on FS1. Obviously not happy, but not "kicked out" of the track.

ARCA officials kicked Gavan Boschele off the track grounds after trying to get after Max Reaves, or at least that's what a member of his pit crew said when I asked for an interview.

Nope, it was a great idea. And as someone who works in the industry, I’d love to go back to 1 pm start times and not be working until deep into Sunday night. But the ratings always prove otherwise, and can only come up with so many excuses.
