Novelist and TV historian. The Book of Revelations is a mosaic of trauma and memory. My fiction is unconventional, probing, and unapologetically challenging.

OCTOBER NEW RELEASES 📚 October’s big book drop is here on #JustReadingNook! Stephen King closes the Talisman Trilogy, Freida McFadden goes full Salem, Bonnie Garmus is back after Lessons in Chemistry, Reacher hits a town of four, and Harry Bosch faces the darkest case of his life. 👀 But the indies came to play too. 🧡 Four old friends reunited by a death and a monster they thought they’d buried. Two Pasadena teens pulled into an ancient war. Fox Argall back on a case that’s nothing like a burglary. A gothic mansion where homeless youth must play to win. A 48-hour manhunt tearing through 1999 Belfast. And a runaway heir coming home to save his brother. @Author_N_Raines @CollingsMaccrae @CJSimone333 @neilwalkerwrote @AuthorPAlbano @justcastellon Twelve new releases, one TBR. Big names or hidden gems? Probably both. 🔗 Full roundup from the Nook Desk: tr.ee/0wtejW

Putting the least competent people in charge was the point of DEI. It's a feature, not a bug. The best way to destroy civilization is to incentivize the removal of the people competent enough to create and maintain civilization. Let DEI go down as the utter triumph of mediocrity and ruin.

"Four names. One woman. A past that refuses to stay buried." Just Reading Nook has given The Book of Revelations a terrific four-star review, calling it “a layered, quietly ambitious novel” with “shifting voices that come together in a way that feels earned.” My thanks to @olivesstevens for recognizing what makes this story different. The Book of Revelations
by @MitchellDHadley ★★★★☆ Strong Four names, one past she can’t outrun. The Book of Revelations is a layered, quietly ambitious novel that reveals Nan Jaffe one fragment at a time through the people who only ever saw part of her. With vivid period detail, trauma handled with restraint, and shifting voices that come together in a way that feels earned, it’s a moving read for literary fiction lovers and book clubs alike. A nice corollary to my Deconstructing Dark Bay series. Justine shares her reaction to the second pass as a reader, and it's quite informative. P.S. Skittles I'm reading a book set in 1948 and there are numerous dated terms. Had the author not used them and went with 2026 vernacular, I would dock him a star. I trust my meaning is clear.
The Second Pour:
Rereading Fading Away: Dark Bay With the Lights On
Back in May, I read this novel by @GaiusKonstantin like a woman sitting in a dim café after midnight, whisky neat, letting a man tell me his story until 3 a.m. I didn’t analyze it. I felt it. This time, I went back as his publisher. Same table. Same whisky. Only now, I asked them to turn the lights on. The plot can’t ambush you on a second read. What’s left is the craft. And with #DarkBay, a lot is left standing. The slow start, the throwaway scenes, that brick wall of an ending. None of it is an accident. 🔗 Read the feature: tr.ee/Pjd8U1

I don’t usually post my book sales, but I can’t keep this one to myself! The Runaway Prince came out just two days ago, and it’s already getting noticed. Yesterday I sold 10 copies across Kindle and paperback. Today I’m at 4, and the day isn’t even over yet. But the most exciting part? My KU is moving!!!! 0 reviews.
0 advertising. 0 price reduction.
XXX visibility. PS: The Runaway Prince is also listed under @GaiusKonstantin on Amazon and all online book retailers, since he’s officially credited as the editor. That means double the visibility! And, the readers are finding it, and I’m over the moon. If you’ve picked up a copy or read it on KU, a quick rating or a line or two on Amazon would mean the world. 🖤 #TheRunawayPrince #KindleUnlimited

Better late than never Congratulations (to both of us). To the moon baby, wish you all the luck in the world.
Today’s the day! And I’m doing this launch solo. Send help! Our books are out today on Amazon, in both Kindle and paperback. Unfortunately, my partner (in crime) is indisposed today and can’t help announce it. So can you do us a favor? Put our books in your cart so we can make some sales on our first day 🙏 #TheRunawayPrince tr.ee/eFhp0h #FadingAwayDarkBay tr.ee/VjLjU6 (Note: They say book marketing is different from consumer brands. So here I am, trying @AuthorTRobare and @AuthorGFAllen’s styles. Can you review them too? Some people said we shouldn’t review our own books on the Nook, the platform we co-founded. So, help!) #readerscommunity #NewRelease

What a great idea. And tell the author as well. Even if they don't respond, tell them how much their writing has meant to you.

This, one hundred percent, originally by @jk_rowling and quoted by @amywelborn2.
"It’s true, of course, that trans activism doesn’t impact all women negatively. In fact, the more privileged you are, the less it tends to affect you, and the more it might benefit you. Aside from an avalanche of death, rape and torture threats, it hasn’t noticeably affected my life. Nor does it hurt wealthy women who repost the vogueish mantras while sitting in dressing rooms guarded by private security guards. It doesn’t hurt women in the upper echelons of media, publishing and academia, who don’t need a changing room at work and who feel a snobbish disdain for working class women who don’t want to strip off in front of heterosexual males who’ve ‘identified’ into the women’s changing room. Trans activism doesn’t hurt headline-hungry female politicians whose attitude to women’s rights is ‘whatever is good for me personally’. On the contrary, trans activism has been good for those women. It’s fashionable, and keeps them popular with their progressive tribe, and costs them, personally, absolutely nothing."
