Matthew teaches at Big Spring High School in the Big Spring School District, where he serves as Department Head and Aquatics Director. He earned his B.S. in Health and Physical Education from West Chester University and his M.Ed. in Administration and Athletic Coaching from Point Park University.
Matthew creates a supportive and engaging learning environment where students feel safe to take risks and learn from mistakes. His “fail forward” philosophy encourages growth through experience and reflection. Using differentiated instruction and constructivist methods, he ensures all students are actively engaged and empowered to succeed.
Beyond the classroom, Matthew serves as SHAPE-CDYA Vice President and Borough Recreation Commission Chairman, promoting lifelong physical activity and community wellness.

Field day AM at Mount Rock Elementary! I’m glad we saved the city, tugged on Repunzels hair, raced around like lightning McQueen, froze and unfroze each other like Elsa and Anna and solved the riddles in order to find Mickey Bulldog!
