It was great that all of our English First Peoples 11 classes got to see Th’owxiya by Kwantlen First Nation writer @DandurandJoseph and have an educational workshop with @AxisTheatreCo afterwards. @sd43bc @TClerkson @rciolfi
Enjoyed bringing @AxisTheatreCo into @HWSSevents for their production of #Thowxiya, by @DandurandJoseph. 170+ kids thoroughly engaged in a #kwantlen story. Plus, Joseph gave me a copy of his Griffin-award-winning poetry! Great day!

Thank you @luudisk for posting this important video. Our staff discussed standard 9 at our Pro-D last week. It’s a learning journey that I’m very excited to be a part of.

I couldn’t agree more, Jo Chrona @luudisk. Thank you for your continued advocacy.
The timeline may feel short to some folks, but it feels long past due for many others. Who loses most when social justice is delayed? Are you using your privilege to support and enable? Or to delay or obstruct? When something is a priority, we find ways to make it happen.

Just a reminder folks - if you support the new BC Indigenous-focussed graduation requirement, it's important to let the Ministry of Education know (via an on-line feedback form on the engagement site). engage.gov.bc.ca/govtogether…

Great advice @justintarte
Ways to supercharge your life: - Don't complain - Help others less fortunate - Focus on what you control - Forgive quickly - Set short and long term goals - Commit to bettering yourself - Find joy daily - Make sleep a priority
