If you have not been able to work because of long COVID symptoms, please consider applying for SSDI.
There are clear rules for the application and, while slow, a pretty consistent bureaucracy behind it.
This is an insurance policy you paid into for a season like this. Don’t be held back from your benefits because of pride, guilt, or a sense of intimidation at the process.
This primer I wrote might help.

🚨 I call on Gov. Abbott to IMMEDIATELY convene a special session to REIN IN EXECUTIVE EMERGENCY POWERS… before Gina Hinojosa is sworn in!
Republicans lost last night, but Democrats were not sworn in.
We still have total power in Texas, and we must act like it by using the remaining ten weeks to restore separation of powers and limit the emergency powers that Governor-Elect Hinojosa is set to inherit, which would allow her to destroy liberty in Texas by executive fiat.
I’ve warned since I was first elected that NO governor, Republican or Democrat, should have unchecked emergency powers!
Now that Texas has elected a Democrat Governor, the urgency is undeniable… and inaction is intolerable.
Without action, Governor Hinojosa will inherit the powers of a DICTATOR.
Due to the absurd (and almost certainly unconstitutional) Texas emergency powers laws, Gov. Hinojosa will literally have the power to modify laws, ignore laws, or create and enforce laws – including criminal laws – on a whim!
Today is a day for ACTION, and bold leadership.
The Texas Legislature must immediately pass, and Governor Abbott must sign, legislation like HB911, which I filed in 2022 and warned at the time, that “Never ending emergency powers are antithetical to representative government and render people powerless. Legislative bodies allowing a single executive branch official to both write and enforce laws is the biggest threat to our constitutional system of divided government and should be opposed irrespective of which political party runs the executive branch.”
My legislation would protect liberty from executive fiat by, among other things, taking the following actions:
1. Prohibit the Governor from suspending or modifying statutes
2. Sunset emergency orders in 30 days if the legislature does not ratify the order
3. Prohibit the governor from reissuing emergency orders that expired or the legislature rejected
4. Require emergency orders to be narrowly tailored
5. Subject emergency orders to expedited judicial review
We have TEN WEEKS LEFT to protect Texas from near total Democrat rule.
I encourage every elected Republican in Texas to join my demand for Gov. Abbott to call a special session.
The future of liberty in America is literally on the line in Texas, and Texans deserve leadership that acts accordingly.

Oxygen water and amyloids in the blood:
We may be thinking about oxygen in Long Covid remediation the wrong way. Raising blood oxygen saturation (as with hyperbaric oxygen) is not the same as delivering oxygen that can interact directly with amyloid debris already in the blood. “Oxygen water” appears to act more locally on those structures.
Under the microscope, “oxygen water” is appearing to dissolve amyloid-like debris in Long Covid blood samples. We think it may be that it’s altering amyloid morphology, making the structures less stable or sticky, and supporting enzymatic clearance—addressing both the microclots themselves and the oxygen shortfall they create.
Here’s what the literature suggests oxygen water may be doing:
• It changes amyloid structure. O₂-supersaturated buffers produced smaller and softer amyloid fibrils compared with degassed conditions. Gas concentration and type directly affect how these fibrils assemble and stick together (Chiang et al., Langmuir 2021).
• Oxygenation makes amyloids less sticky. Adding oxygen atoms to amyloid proteins increases their hydrophilicity and strongly reduces their ability to aggregate or remain toxic. This is the principle behind photooxygenation catalysts that target amyloids.
• Higher oxygen levels support clearance. Hyperbaric oxygen reduces amyloid plaque burden in Alzheimer’s models by upregulating enzymes that break down amyloid (MMP-2, MMP-9, tPA) and improving clearance (via LRP1). In Long Covid, however, amyloid fibrin microclots block capillaries and impair circulatory delivery, so much of that extra oxygen may never reach the debris effectively.
When “oxygen water” is ingested we believe it may be acting more directly in the blood rather than relying solely on transport through blocked vessels, which is different and unique compared to hyperbaric.
TLDR- Spike protein can drive fibrinogen into an amyloid-like, fibrinolysis-resistant form that forms persistent microclots. These microclots block capillaries, trap inflammatory proteins, and limit oxygen delivery. Oxygen water looks like it is destabilizing those structures directly. Therefore it is not simply “more oxygen in the blood,” but in reality a more targeted interaction with the pathology itself.
One more thing your doctors haven’t figured out yet sadly. Patriox is one solution here for consideration.

Your standard cholesterol panel measures how much cholesterol your LDL particles carry. What actually clogs arteries is the number of particles, and ApoB counts them directly, because each of those particles carries exactly one ApoB protein.
Two people can have the same LDL and very different particle counts. That mismatch shows up in about 1 in 4 adults, and more often with high triglycerides, insulin resistance or extra weight around the middle.
A pooled analysis of 12 studies covering 233,455 adults found that ApoB was the strongest predictor of heart attacks and strokes, and LDL was the weakest. Next time you get bloodwork, it's worth asking for ApoB, Lp(a) and hsCRP.
