Who decided that "Christian" entertainment had to be safe, grandmother approved, Hallmark channel slop? The stories from the bible are raw, dangerous and violent. Mel Gibson is the only filmmaker with any huevos rancheros.

I understand why the genre might not be someone’s cup of tea. I don’t particularly gravitate to it myself, usually. But it’s okay for Christians to tell and enjoy stories that are tense, suspenseful, even scary. There’s nothing inherently sinful about any of those feelings. And the categorical insistence on avoiding those feelings is precisely why almost all “faith based” entertainment is terrible. I would argue that bland, bad, boring “Christian entertainment” — which is almost all of it, truly — is a far greater cultural problem for Christians than any horror movie ever could be. Christians used to be the great storytellers of western civilization. That was back when they told difficult, complicated, sometimes bleak and violent stories. Not anymore. Now the stories are all very nice and pleasant, but they also suck and nobody with any taste can stand to watch them.

I think I’ll end the day with this one. Feels like today was a long one.
Artist David Spriggs is known for his ephemeral installations that layer transparent images to create the illusion of a three-dimensional landscape.

Why bother putting on lipstick and going on MSNOW for an interview if not to definitively and categorically deny that she married her brother?? Why go to the trouble just to give a vague hand-wave answer?
Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) when asked by MS Now tonight if she married her brother: "Not to my knowledge."

Seems pretty obvious
I think it would be easier to guess which Senator you didn't catch using male escorts.

Kamala's condescending tone, like she's talking to a classroom of preschoolers.. so insulting. They actually expected us to elect this pedantic bonehead as President? Unreal
Kamala Harris just spoke in Las Vegas and it seems she's testing out a new oratory style. It's worse than you can imagine.

Why build a $100M new campus when they could just use the empty soundstages? Or is that too much of a common sense solution for LA?

The things that actually affect our lives the most happen at the local level. We get caught up in national news--Trump, Putin, Zelensky, France, etc.. But local politics have a much greater impact on our day to day lives.
Local elections matter the most.

No Superbowl ads for Tesla. No money spent on advertising, just money spent on making the experience better. All of this growth has come from word of mouth. Much of it from drivers over 75 who know that FSD will allow them to retain their freedom much longer.
Tesla now has 174M Active FSD Subscribers as of Q3 2026, which is a growth of +67% YoY. Q3 also added the most subscribers ever on record: • Q3 2026: +260,000 Subscribers • Q2 2026: +200,000 Subscribers • Q1 2026: +180,000 Subscribers • Q4 2025: +60,000 Subscribers Tesla is adding around 4.3x more FSD subscribers today than they did in Q4 2025.

The "NEWS" is a TV show with paid advertisers. The bigger the ads they buy, the more influence they have with the producers. There is no legal obligation for them to be truthful when they can label it as opinion or speculation.
Some fools still think the legacy news is real. Amazing.

It's unclear if Ilhan Omar will be convicted or deported, but one thing seems clear, she will no longer be a United States Representative from the great state of Minnesota.
40% Expect Conviction for Ilhan Omar Last week’s raid on the home of Rep. Ilhan Omar made headlines, but most voters don’t expect the Minnesota Democrat to be convicted of federal crimes – in part because more than a fifth of them don’t seem to know who she is. Full story is in the comments...

Here's an idea--let's put the Flock cameras in the areas where we suspect the bad people will be doing bad things, like at an ICE facility, and not in peaceful suburban neighborhoods.
EXCLUSIVE MANHUNT UNDERWAY AFTER ATTACK ON ICE FACILITY Last night a Hispanic male threw an improvised incendiary device toward the ICE ERO Field Office in Atlanta, Georgia. DHS provided me these photos. The device thankfully did not reach the facility, as it became caught on the top of the perimeter fence. An Atlanta Police Officer in the vicinity observed the incident and attempted to apprehend the subject by chasing him on foot; however, the suspect fled the scene and was not apprehended. FBI, HSI, and APD are actively investigating and searching for the perpetrator. DEPORT THEM ALL

We are told that a big reason that we should trust women in leadership positions is that they are more virtuous than men, less prone to deception and fraud than men. But the steady trickle of women being arrested for just that is undermining their argument.
🚨 Democratic Kissimmee, Florida, Mayor Jackie Espinosa was arrested and taken into custody today on charges of grand theft and fraud, according to Florida Attorney General James Uthmeier.

The Bush family dynasty was dependent on Jeb Bush being next in line for the White House. The Bush clan was certain that Jeb was a lock. They had the apparatus in place, but they didn't count on Trump destroying Jeb during the debates. They have been on the warpath ever since.
The Bush family showed us who they really were a long time ago. They never stood with Donald Trump. They stood with the Washington establishment, the political insiders, and the same old swamp Americans voted to clean up. Now there are claims that Bush family daughters are financially supporting Democrat James Talarico. If confirmed, that would tell you everything you need to know. The Bush dynasty preached Republican loyalty while the America First movement exposed just how disconnected the political establishment had become. We didn’t leave the Bush Republican Party. The Bush Republican Party left us. Good riddance.

The best ticket I could get for IMAX is a Sunday afternoon single seat. I've read the entire DUNE series several times so I think I know how it ends, but I don't want to see early reviews. I am therefore activating the CONE OF SILENCE.

What's the biggest late fee you got hit with at Blockbuster? I once had a 30 day late fee. I searched high and low and finally the Blockbuster store charged me for buying the tape. Two days later my friend found it under the seat of his car. It wasn't even a good movie.

I'm not blaming women because The Passion had enormous success with Christian women, even though it was unbearable to watch in many parts. I blame the studios for thinking that the only way to appeal to the female segment is to dumb down the stories and make them toothless.

Jesus was/is not a pacifist. He has always been the lion who assumed the role of the lamb because that was required of Him for our salvation. He could have slain his tormentors with a single word, but he passed the test.
It’s one of the worst things to happen to Christianity, culturally speaking, in modern times. And despite reports to the contrary, it really hasn’t gotten any better. Most “faith based” entertainment is bland and flavorless and, worst of all, a display of artistic cowardice. It refuses to take any chances or do anything that might be even remotely upsetting to the audience or even vaguely ambiguous about the message it’s trying to send. The result is an endless catalogue of “Christian” films and shows that are lifeless, pointless, and boring to an almost infuriating degree. What makes this so tragic is that it wasn’t always this way. Christian artists in all mediums for centuries created brilliant, beautiful, inspiring, timeless, sometimes difficult and complicated works of art. But the modern day Dostoevsky or Flannery O Connor or even Michelangelo, if such a person exists, would never get a film made by a Christian studio because their stories would be too upsetting to the middle aged Christian female audience that all of these companies exclusively cater to.
