Between 1960 and 1980, thousands of Pakistani families would communicate between Pakistan and the UK using cassette recordings - which have since been stored in attics, suitcases and garages across the UK.
As part of South Asian Heritage Month, @ModusArts dropped the "Tape Letters" pod, ranscribing and presenting some of these cassettes, and interviews with the people who had received them.
Fascinating culture pod. Take 10 minutes and check one of these out:

We want to thank #PIMo @ca18140 and all participants of our workshop "Voices in Motion"! It was a full success and we learned so many new things about the voic, audio letters, memory and how to listen to messages produced in enforced contexts. Thank you!!
