If you don't believe $XRP has a 1000X in the tank still you don't understand what is happening. Tokenization is about to consume the globe and XRP (which will move 15X faster than stablecoins) will be the bridge for the central banks where you park money.

I think a world where XRPL is highly successful in financial applications but XRP does not have high demand and value is very unlikely. About the only way that could happen would be if we wound up in a world with one totally dominant settlement asset. That seems unlikely to me.
