The moral depravity at the top of the Republican Party is well documented, but itโ€™s pervasive throughout the Republican ranks. I noted a few days ago that Trump endorsed Tennessee congressional candidate and married father of two Brent Taylor acknowledged that he sent unsolicited dick pics to women who werenโ€™t his wife, but he dismissed his moral deviancy as โ€œyouthful indiscretionsโ€ that he committed at the youthful age of 53. He said his wife had forgiven him and God had forgiven him and voters should forgive him too. In Alabama, Republican state representative Brett Easterbrook was arrested in early October after he offered to pay $500 to have sex with a person he thought was a minor. Unfortunately for Easterbrook, it was a sting operation and he now faces charges for human trafficking and solicitation of prostitution. Easterbrook is a solid family values MAGA man as evidenced by his vote for a bill that would authorize the death penalty for adults who have sex with minors. The head of the Alabama Republican Party said โ€œI think the most important thing for us to do is just to pray for Brett and his family and let Godโ€™s will take control of the situation.โ€ Years ago, I said that it was unfortunate for Anthony Weiner and Elliott Spitzer that they were Jewish and Democrats because they couldnโ€™t play the โ€œJesus forgave me so I get to avoid all personal responsibilityโ€ card the way alleged Christian Republicans do. If Democrats abided by the Republican moral deviancy standard weโ€™d still have Senator Al Franken (thanks a lot Kristen Gillibrand!) and weโ€™d soon have Senator-elect Graham Platner. It seems that Republicans took a lesson from Jimmy Swaggart and Jim Bakker, and figured out that Christian evangelicals will ignore all of your moral depravity and give you their money and their votes if you hold the flag in one hand and the Bible in the other and shout Jesus . . . Ken Paxton is counting on it. I hope on Tuesday that the real moral majority prevails, which will give those who treat Jesus as an excuse more time to spend in prayer for their precious perverts.

15-year-old Javits Frimpong was fatally shot on his way to school in the Bronx. His father believes the killing may be tied to bullying his son endured. He brought Javits from Ghana for a better life, only to lose him to violence. NO child should have to fear for their life on the way to school!
