As a street, we discussed the far-right threat in the lead up to the planned attack on Walthamstow. Many of us turned out to let them know their hate won't be tolerated here. Many more wanted to come but were too scared. They feel less afraid now. There is strength in unity

Anyone else come into land, got level with the trees (approx 2m high) then accelerated to go back up into the sky?! Circled for 15 mins before pilot explained we hadn’t been able to land because some kind of transport was on the runway. How can this even happen @cancuniairport?

One of the saved ‘kinder’ in this audience is my great uncle Kurt. Goosebumps and overwhelming gratitude every time I see this #kindertransport
Nicholas Winton helped 669 Jewish children escape the Nazis. His efforts went unrecognized for 50 years. Then in 1988, while sitting as a member of a TV audience, he suddenly found himself surrounded by the kids he’d rescued, now adults. I like to remember this every Jan 27th.

Why translated plays matter. I love theatre - perfect timing to read in The Linguist @CIOL_Linguists this month about how @WeAre4nAffairs are filling the translation gaps in this area. Thanks @TrineGarrett👏thelinguist.uberflip.com/the…
Such a beautiful story, beautifully retold #thesandman #thesoundofherwings
"The sound of her wings..." On this day in 1989, Death made her first appearance in Sandman Issue 8. This is perfectly recreated in Netflix's The Sandman Episode 6. Thanks, @neilhimself. A dream come true! #thesandman #neilgaiman #davemckean #mikedrigenberg #KirbyHowellBaptiste
