Best @MizzouFootball performance top to bottom we’ve seen since _______
I’ve known Coach Chesney since 2018. The man is as genuine as it gets and has a heart of gold.
NEW: Oregon's Dan Lanning said UCLA head coach Bob Chesney offered to help with Dante Moore:
"He text me as they were traveling back to LA and said, 'Hey, if you need my help with Dante or anything and he's still in LA, I'll go check on this guy. I'm giving the team off tomorrow; let me know.' It speaks to the kind of person he is."

Twenty-five years ago this morning, I was driving in Louisville to an apartment complex in search of a reluctant interview subject. It was a beautiful morning. I was listening to "Mike & Mike." Suddenly, @Espngreeny was breaking incomprehensible news. I was relieved that the person I was looking for didn't answer the door. I got back in the car and raced to The Courier-Journal office downtown, switching the radio to WHAS as confusion became shock became horror. I got into the office in time to see the towers come down in real time on TV. A sickening sight.
I'm flying this morning, and the effects of that tragedy are ingrained in the experience. "Everything changed" has become a trite phrase, but it does apply to life after 9/11.
Everyone who was old enough to understand remembers where they were on this morning 25 years ago. Thousands of miles from the scene, my recollections are by no means unique, other than watching the journalism unfold.
At a time when journalists are losing jobs in large numbers, it's worth remembering the value of informing the public about what, why, where and how our lives are affected by events great (like 9/11) and small (the local school board). Instead of reading an AI summation of 9/11, I encourage people to read/watch some of the work done in chronicling that tragedy. Two particularly powerful pieces to follow ...
This anniversary of 9/11 feels heavier. Maybe because it’s my first as a parent. Maybe because I’m traveling today. Or maybe because it’s the 25th anniversary. Or likely, a combination of all three. Life felt normal one moment and then, suddenly, the world was forever changed. Praying, remembering and thinking of all of those who lost loved ones that day and everyone who fought and continues to fight for our freedom. Never forget. 🇺🇸

Todd Beamer was the passenger on United Airlines Flight 93 who rallied fellow passengers to fight back against the 9/11 hijackers with the phrase "Let's roll" and stopped it from reaching Washington, DC.
This is his daughter, Morgan, who was born 4 months after his death and went on to play women's soccer at his alma mater, Wheaton College.
Imagine how proud he would be. 🇺🇸 #neverforget
