This time last year we held a festival at Moseley Community Hub - Exchange was a 2 day festival exploring what Balsall Heath Library could offer when it reopens. The festival was programmed with a steering group, and plenty of learnings have been taken into MRB's future plans!
Demolition of some of the partitions in the men's 2nd class slipper baths means that this area can become a cafe and small events space with work being done carefully to avoid damaging the glazed bricks and retaining them for future use. #conservation #Heritage #keepswimming

🛁Last year we ran 35 'Slipper Baths' for the first time since October 2004. Moseley Road Baths is a remarkable surviving example 46 private washing rooms. What would you like to see from public bathing in the 21st century from Moseley Road Baths?
This time last year we invited everyone back to ours for Balsall Heath's Living Room. The project ran from July to September, had over 4000 visits and hosted over 60 events, workshops, talks and art installations.

Saturday 20th April, Walter left Balsall Heath City Farm on the back of a flatbed truck. Walter recreated his appearance of Balsall Heath Carnival in the 80s through Balsall Heath and Sparkbrook.

Moseley Road Baths in Birmingham are one of England's most complete examples of an Edwardian Bath House. 🏊♂️
They are the only Baths in the country built before 1914 to have continuously hosted swimming since they opened.
