BINANCE HACKER JUST TURNED $5 MILLION INTO $71. 💀
Let me explain what just happened because this is a perfect lesson in how DeFi works.
A wallet linked to the Binance hacker sold 908,793 $PROM tokens, reportedly worth around $5 million, on Uniswap and received Just 0.0316 ETH, worth approximately $71.
- Lets look out at how it happened. -
Think of Uniswap as a marketplace where people trade directly through liquidity pools instead of a traditional order book.
For a trade to happen, there must be enough money on the other side of the pool to buy what you're selling.
Now imagine walking into a market with $5 million worth of goods, only to discover that the buyer has just $71 to offer in return in an envelope, and without checking the content of the envelope first, you give the buyer the goods just to discover $71 in the envelope, that's essentially what happened.
The hacker dumped nearly a million PROM tokens into an almost empty liquidity pool with barely any ETH available to buy those tokens, the trade returned practically nothing.
The lesson here is that a token's market value doesn't mean you can sell your entire bag at that particular price.
This is where understanding the concept of liquidity comes in.
Now, here's the interesting part, Can Binance or Uniswap recover the missing $5 million? Definitely not that easy.
Uniswap is a decentralised exchange, and once a transaction is confirmed on the blockchain, there's no customer support button that can simply reverse it. Binance also cannot independently reverse a transaction on a more Decentralised Ethereum either.
The approximately $71 in ETH went to the hacker's wallet, while the PROM tokens went into the pool. The transaction is permanently recorded on-chain.
The tokens aren't necessarily sitting in a special recovery vault. They're held by the smart contract governing the liquidity pool, where they can affect the pool's balances and price.
For regular traders, here is the beauty and the brutal reality of DeFi. You can control your assets, but you also bear the consequences of your transactions if you do not understand the basics of liquidity.
Next time you see the paper value of a token, endeavour to check liquidity before dumping those tokens into a Decentralised swap pool

To be successful in trading, you need a high level of delusion and mindset.
The ability to open your trades , leave them to run and be delusional about it that it will hit tp.
If you keep chasing perfect entries and tps,
It ain't gonna work ....

Hyperliquid might be getting bigger than you think.
Meet @Enter_Elysium , a Layer 2 being developed by Kinetiq, the team behind kHYPE.
But what exactly are they building, and why should you pay attention?
Let's break it down.
1/ Hyperliquid already has two major components:
• HyperCore: Its high-performance trading engine and native order book.
• HyperEVM: Its smart contract environment for developers.
Elysium wants to take things further by introducing another execution environment that allows people to build defi Infra on hype
2/ So, what is Elysium?
It's an Arbitrum Orbit-based Layer 2 designed to settle to HyperEVM and operate alongside HyperCore.
Their aim is to provide an environment for develops to build applications that need high transaction throughput and low latency.
3/ What can developers build on it?
A lot more than just another DEX.
With a broader platform for more dapps, Devs can build things like:
• Decentralised exchanges.
• Automated market makers.
• High-frequency trading infrastructure.
• Token launchpads.
• Lending protocols.
• Derivatives and structured financial products.
So essentially, more financial applications tapping into Hyperliquid's ecosystem.
4/ Here's the interesting part.
Elysium plans to use HYPE as its gas token. It also has an interesting proposed sequencer revenue distribution, these Includes;
• 50% towards purchasing KNTQ.
• 25% towards ecosystem builders.
• 25% towards Kinetiq's treasury.
5/ Why does this matter?
Hyperliquid has already established itself as a serious player in on-chain trading.
But building a much larger financial ecosystem requires more than a powerful order book.
It needs infrastructure, developers, applications and liquidity.
And Elysium is attempting to fill that gap.
6/ My take here
The interesting play isn't simply another L2 launching into an already crowded market filled with L2s
It's the possibility of an entire ecosystem of financial applications being built around Hyperliquid's existing liquidity and infrastructure .
It should not be disregarded that , execution and actual developer adoption will determine whether this becomes significant and do well in the long run .
Worth keeping an eye on imo

Binance has finally released its initial findings on the October 29 security incident, and thus are the details.
Here's the breakdown:
• This wasn't a simple phishing link. They reportedly compromised an engineer's work computer through a fake job interview, weaponised an internal AI tool and eventually gained access to wallet-signing operations.
• They exploited Binance's internal wallet-signing infrastructure to move assets across multiple networks.
• Approximately $6.34B in assets were impacted, with $2.85B frozen or intercepted.
• Binance says it has replenished 98% of the affected assets and will absorb the financial losses. Users won't bear the cost.
Binance has since rebuilt affected systems, revoked compromised credentials, strengthened security controls and commissioned an independent cybersecurity review.
In crypto, your biggest vulnerability might not be your smart contract or blockchain.
Sometimes, it's the human sitting behind the keyboard.
The investigation is still ongoing and I will Def update y'all
