BlackRock And Japan's SBI Target a New Yen Stablecoin Link
BlackRock (@BlackRock), SBI Holdings and Startale Group (@StartaleGroup) signed an MoU to explore linking tokenized money market funds with Japan’s $JPYSC stablecoin.
The partnership will examine infrastructure, distribution and regulatory requirements.
According to reports, the goal is to connect traditional financial assets with yen-based digital payments.
Worth noting, BlackRock’s BUIDL fund holds around $2.17 billion in assets, including US Treasurys, overnight repos and cash.

Today, we came together again for our unofficial Soneium MENA weekly call to catch up on ecosystem news and community activities. 💙
We discussed the latest @soneium and @StartaleGroup updates, as well as opportunities for members to contribute more and take on new responsibilities in our community.
We also looked back at monthly community feedback: where we’ve improved over the past few months and what still needs attention. It’s encouraging to see some of those suggestions reflected in our activities today.
Thank you to everyone who gives their time, shares their thoughts and helps this community move forward. Seeing the people who’ve been part of this journey grow is one of the most rewarding parts. 🤝

And yes, you guessed it! This was the first regional community call I hosted since becoming a Soneium Ambassador myself!
It meant a lot to celebrate this milestone with the people who have been part of the journey. Congratulations to all 11, and thank you to everyone who has supported us along the way. 🤝
We also shared updates on the Ambassador program and our community’s next steps, with conversations around learning, contribution, and how members’ feedback can help us move forward.
