Where were the youth injuries decades ago? Non-existent because kids built physical readiness by playing multiple sports and being kids. An 8-year-old on 5 select baseball teams sounds cool, but they'd benefit more from diverse sports, playgrounds, and just being kids.

Only way it should be done. And even better when all the coaches work together to make them (boys and girls) that the s & c program is about getting every athlete better. Every type of workout 52 weeks a year should be that way. It should never be viewed as just a FB thing

When there is a S&C program for an entire HS, coaches don't need to worry about losing kids weight room time while their other sports are in season bc they'll be lifting throughout each sports season. If a kid plays 2 HS sports, they're in the WR all year round. This is the way

It's easy as a Coach to focus on who isn't showing up, Who isn't contributing & working hard, etc. The REAL power is in focusing on who IS doing the work. We often allow the minority to have a majority impact on us. Focus on who you're helping. Coach Parker & many others have shared & reminded me of this! I hope it helps a Coach today :)
