In the 1970s-80s, working on campaigns around the country, I saw the very common voter suppression tactic of simply stationing official-looking folks outside polling places. One of the oldest tricks in the book... #utpol
After announcing that the DOJ will send poll watchers to Utah, @LGHendersonUtah says she's actually grateful they got advanced warning. Plus, my colleague, @kade_garner asked her about her message for the Trump administration. More from the LG today on @abc4utah. READ: abc4.com/news/politics/doj-e…

Sometimes I agree with Luntz...and sometimes I don't. On this one, I'm with him 100%.
There’s a reason why I’ve become so opposed to our election process as it currently stands. It’s more than our ugly tone. It’s more than our disrespect of each other. All the tools of electioneering are now being used to mislead rather than enlighten. They are being used to destroy rather than to build. The best example of this is the Ohio gubernatorial ad — I believe it will have an impact. In fact, I’m sure of it. But it’s a horrible example of how low we have sunk. When people ask me to analyze an ad, they’re not asking for my opinion. They’re asking me for the impact it will have on voters. And that’s exactly what I try to give them. This is different. This is my opinion. I think this ad will be taught in schools for decades about just how toxic our politics have turned. I’m sad for what my country has become.

This.
Churchill could have shortened WW2 by years if he had just “done a deal” with Hitler. George Washington could have done a deal to end the American Revolution. Zelenskyy is in good company.

Tillis on Patriot Missiles: I want to know who in the government is saying no to those transfers. This is not even taking it from our inventories. This is allowing it to be transferred from other European nations. Whoever that person is has the blood on their hands every bit as much as Vladimir Putin.

“we will pay any price….to assure the success and survival of liberty.” Is this still true? Do we prize liberty or do we prize power and purse? No more clear test than the choice between Ukraine and Russia. Abandon Ukraine and we abandon liberty. Eventually even our own.

This.
Ilhan Omar is, by all accounts, corrupt. Raiding the home of a congresswoman 3 weeks from election day is an abuse of power.

There are angels on this earth—and yesterday, one of them went home. It is possible to make the case that Pamela Atkinson has had a bigger impact and done more good than anyone in Utah over the past 30 years. She was more than an advisor and confidant, she was a friend. She treated me the exact same way she treated her homeless friends—with love and respect. Although it’s impossible to capture the magnitude of her reach and influence, I hope you will take time to read this incredible profile by Lois Collins. Pamela’s legacy will live on for generations to come. We miss you dear friend.

President Trump’s decision to lift sanctions on Russian fuel amidst Putin’s ongoing and brutal attacks on civilian targets in Ukraine makes no sense and is a betrayal of the legacy and leadership of the late Senator Lindsey Graham. While Ukraine fights for its survival, Putin’s war machine continues to prosecute his terrorist war on civilian populations and innocent Ukrainians are dying every day. Now, Instead of implementing the tough sanctions Lindsey Graham fought to his last breath to enact, President Trump has announced the United States is lifting sanctions on Russian energy, fueling the Putin’s war machine. As I saw firsthand in Ukraine last month, Putin is losing this war. Ukraine has fought the Russian military to a standstill and reinvented warfare with drones taking the fight into the heart of Russia. America should not be throwing a lifeline to Putin’s war machine. Now is the time to stand strong against Russian aggression as we did during the first Trump administration. Putin doesn’t want peace. Putin wants Ukraine. I have no doubt that if Putin overruns Ukraine, it will only be a matter of time until Russia’s military crosses a border that our troops will have to deal with him. America is the Leader of the Free World. For our National Security, for the security of our Allies in Europe including Ukraine, President Trump should rescind this deal immediately and return to the strong policies of our four years in the White House; impose harsh sanctions on any nation purchasing Russian energy and work with our allies to ensure Ukraine has the military support it needs to repel and defeat this Russian invasion once and for all. More of this, please, from Rs in Congress who are certainly thinking it, but need to say it.
Seneca warned that Rome’s bloody spectacles corrupted the people who watched them. A civilization erodes when it cultivates an appetite for executions as a form of entertainment. Secretary Hegseth’s plan to livestream the Fort Hood execution risks feeding that appetite. The victims deserve justice administered with solemnity. Broadcasting a death diminishes us and is not an effective deterrent. I urge him to reconsider.

There was a time, not so long ago, that we were better than this.
WASHINGTON (AP) - Pentagon says the firing squad execution of Fort Hood shooter Nidal Malik Hasan will be livestreamed in December.

Oh Feldman's, I knew you when...
After getting recognized by the Michelin Guide, a local deli says they're selling out of their highly-recognized products faster than they can get deliveries in, Feldman's Deli, located in Salt Lake City, received a Bib Gourmand distinction by the Michelin Guide Inspectors last month, distinguishing it for having "great food at a great value." Seeing the war from Kharkiv firsthand made one thing clear: this is not the war many Americans think it is. Ukraine is proving to be a capable partner to the United States, and the Ukrainians are making meaningful progress against Russia. Ukrainians are our friends. Putin is not.

I have no sympathy for those who commit heinous crimes, but wish our leaders would admit that our justice system is simply not equipped to administer death penalties. As one former Governor has said, "I supported the death penalty until I realized government makes mistakes."

This fixation on testosterone has to mean something. Not sure I want to know.
Hegseth: "The ideological clowns are out. The patriotic cowboys are in, with testosterone testing on top."

Worth pointing out these are the same folks threatening @LGHendersonUtah for not handing them voter data. #utpol

Setting aside the question of effectiveness, why are tax dollars paying for this? If he wants to run the spot, let the political funds pony up.
The U.S. Government is up on TV with this spot -- It aired nationally on FOX yesterday during Illinois at #7 Ohio State and also during Fox News Sunday this morning

More of this from Republicans in Congress, please. Good stuff, Senator.
A toaster is a wedding gift. A private-island party paid for by a Putin-connected oligarch is something else. Republicans nearly wore out the subpoena machine investigating Hunter Biden’s foreign relationships. We should not unplug it now. ‘Trust us’ was not enough then, and it is not enough now.
