When your students a caught doing something wrong and they don’t care for the consequences, this is how they respond.
Mid-year exam, formally COPs, day today. Kids are working on their rough diagram before heading into shop to do their project. Project will take most of the kids the entire day. Except for the kid getting dismissed for driving time. Oh well.
We have been trying to explain this to our students for years, but they just keep pounding them down. Stop drinking energy drinks.

Related final part 1 today. Student - how much does the final count?
Me - Why?
Student - just want to know for when I fail.
Me - I’m not trying to be a smart tookus but, you have taken each part of this test this year.
Work work work. Grading COPs/mid-year exams. Hair Nation is cranking from the speakers in shop while uploading scores. Good times.
Most of the time vocational education is so rewarding. Watching your students succeed is special. Watching you students give it their all is also special. Even watching your students fail, but give it their all and they learn from their mistakes is special…..
Nice attendance for Movie Club today for the showing of the 2021 Tom & Jerry movie. Kids & I enjoyed it. I will say this though, I never liked Jerry when I was a kid, and I still don’t like him now. #ProTom
Mike Tyson used to say; anyone can have a plan until they are punched in the face. Well that was our gingerbread “house” for the annual competition. I had the idea of a work truck. I wish we could have found another kit to make the truck. @BVTVocational
#MovieClub hosted a solid crowd of twelve for the showing of Eight Crazy Nights. I had not seen this and did not know what to expect. I was shocked, and so were a few others, by how it went. I thoroughly enjoyed it and so did the kids.
Possibly the largest attendance in Movie Club history (14). Today we watch the OG Space Jam. Lots of laughs, and popcorn and sodas. If the word gets out, I may need the school to add an auditorium. Hahaha
Actually issued an after session today. To get me to do this something. Eighteen years and I don’t think I’ve give out ten. I will always try to work with the student and figure out why they acted up.
Why can’t you just walk down the hallway and not yell? DANG!!!!!! Be better.

Memorial Day is the day we remember and honor those who gave everything to protect and defend our country. Not a day goes by, I don’t think of you John. Your banner hangs proudly in our related room. I enjoy passing on your story to all my students. @BVTVocational @BVTHighSchool
