Having retired from teaching last Christmas, I now, for the first time in many years, am now approaching September with no horrific back to school dreams! They usually involved the first day back to school going seriously wrong and I am not missing them at all!

Suggestions please! I'm planning to visit somewhere in the North of England in the Spring. Can anyone recommend a town that is good to spend a few days? Interesting places to visit, good places to eat. We won't have a car. Thanks so much!

It is done! I have handed over my laptop and lanyard and walked out of school for the last time! I have retired. Not sure how I'm feeling yet....But it mostly feels good!

Dear @Ofstednews I don't really have any followers so don't suppose this will make a difference but- I have been a bloody good and dedicated teacher for 22 years working and making a difference in an area of true deprivation. I have been a head teacher for the last 3 years
