The admin is withholding $890M allocated to supporting #EnglishLearners (10% of K–12 students). This is inexcusable. Seidlitz Ed remains committed to supporting #ELs & the educators who serve them. Thanks to @NABEorg for making it easy to take action. web-extract.constantcontact.…

Billions of dollars in federal funding to support education is being held hostage.
This money was expected by states and schools to provide education for all learners including services for English learners.
The call to action: contact your state representatives and congress. Let them know where you stand on this matter and impact these funds have.

🚨 URGENT: Over 5.3 million English Learners are at risk. The Department of Education is delaying critical Title III funds—resources Congress already approved. This puts students, teachers, and schools in jeopardy just as the new school year begins.
📢 TAKE ACTION NOW: Tell the Dept. of Ed to release the funds immediately. Our students can’t wait!

Last week, our 4th graders read Seeds of Change, a biography about Wangari Maathai. This incredible student, who was born in Kenya just like Wangari, chose to write her reader’s response in both English and Swahili! @CFISD_ELAR2_5 @MooreCFISD
