Ending our short week with a #stemchallenge ! After reviewing the engineering process, students worked in teams to create a structure that could withstand an earthquake. It was so exciting watching our incredible @LinderEagles collaborate to solve real world problems!
Outdoor learning is alive and well at Linder Elementary, just like our beautiful Monarch garden! Today we surveyed our garden and counted the different varieties of wildflowers and created pictographs of our data. Outdoor learning is the best learning!
2nd grade @LinderEagles wrapped up our geometry unit by problem solving ways to build models of solid shapes. Future engineers in the making!
Celebrating the 100th day of school by building our personal 100th day snack by counting by 10s! Math can be fun and tasty!
Spent some much needed one on one time with my middle child today. We had so much fun volunteering at @LinderEagles Monarch Garden Day!
STEM Friday is back in 2nd grade! Today we used the Engineering Process to design, build, and test bridges that would hold the weight of five erasers using a variety of solid materials. So proud of my students and their teamwork and perseverance!
Linder Outdoor Learning in 2nd grade! Our Linder scientists walked our beautiful campus, explored our outdoor learning areas, and recorded their observations to share with their classmates. We are all scientists!
STREAM Camp in full swing! 2nd grade traveled to the Amazon Rainforest and created their own model of the four tree layers to share their knowledge! @LinderEagles
2nd Grade STEM Friday, inspired by "The Marshmallow Incident" by Judi Barrett. Which solid shapes work together to create the strongest bridges? @LinderEagles
