Authors shared their stories yesterday, and then we took turns going around to have author meet & greets. The best part was seeing Roos cheer on their friends!

Yesterday was our writing celebration, and I couldn’t be more proud of my Roos for all of their hard work this year! #RooHoo #FCPSvanguard

Field Day 2025 🕶️ (oops this never posted and it’s been in my drafts for over two weeks!)

Last week, Ms. Allwein’s niece came to school for #takeyourchildtoworkday and was everyone had so much fun. I’m honored she asked me, and I hope she keeps her passion for teaching if that’s her dream! #RooHoo #FCPSvanguard

If I were a beautiful butterfly 🦋….

Shapes, shapes, and more shapes! #roohoo #fcpsvangaurd

Shape Academy is a fun way to get students learning and keep them moving- I made it up a few years ago, and it’s been a consistent thing in our geometry practice. #roohoo #fcpsvanguard

Roos explored lots of geometry centers and games before break- good stuff! #roohoo #fcpsvangaurd

Before break, Roos did a book study of Tops & Bottoms to wrap up our plants unit in OCR. They did a fantastic job with the various activities! #roohoo #fcpsvanguard

We kicked off our last unit of math for first grade today! You cannot talk about shapes, without reading The Greedy Triangle! #roohoo #fcpsvanguard

Both of my awesome teammates celebrated their birthdays this week, I’m so lucky to work on a team with Mrs. Teixeira & Ms. Grove. I’m so proud of our collaboration this year! #RooHoo #FCPSvanguard
