Day 4 of @officialCHS Cultural Appreciation Week ✔️
Some lovely work was done in form time today. 8P mapped out their heritage together, 7T delivered presentations about their heritage while 9S and T worked to produce beautiful displays representing their cultural heritages.
Day 3 of @officialCHS Cultural Appreciation Week was a good one! A major highlight was the African Drumming workshop led by some of our wonderful year 12s...
Day 2 of @officialCHS Cultural Appreciation Week has been a success!
South American food in the canteen went down very well...
Happy @officialCHS Cultural Appreciation Week 2025! We kicked off the week with an expertly delivered assembly about Welsh culture and diversity in Wales from some of our year 12 students and enjoyed East Asian food in the canteen. Looking forward to the rest of the week!
A brilliant and interactive afternoon spent at Cardiff County Hall. Pupils got to engage in debate in the council chamber with the Lord Mayor and Counsellor Sarah Merry, as well as take part in a mock polling activity.

Special mention for Gwen, Izzy and Ralph who delivered thoughtful speeches about disability and accessibility, youth services and public transport. Da iawn!

Word of the day is ‘recrudescence’ (17th century): the return of something terrible after a time of reprieve.
Huge thank you to Olivia, Erica, Charmaine, Linda and Briana who rounded off Black History Month with their highly informative, thoughtful and engaging assembly which was enjoyed by years 7 to 11. @officialCHS @SixthFormCHS @bhmuk
