For anyone near the outbreak: high fever, cough, runny nose and red eyes, followed by a rash a few days later, is the measles pattern. Call the doctor before you walk in, because one measles patient can infect a whole waiting room. If you were exposed and aren't immune, the MMR shot within 72 hours or immune globulin within 6 days can still prevent it.
