Students 11-16yo are at high risk of suffering Post-Wimpy Kid Syndrome (PWKS). Symptoms include reluctance to read anything other than 'Diary of a Wimpy Kid' and low mood after finishing the Wimpy Kid books. Fortunately @booksfortopics have a great poster of suggestions!

It was amazing to see Year 7s up and leading their peers in a nail-biting quiz on their football knowledge

... And we especially appreciated you sticking around to speak with our older students about a career in sports writing. I'm sure your insights will stick with them for a long time

Across the school, we have student judges who have been reading and reviewing the @jhalakprize longlist books. This is what they have been reading🧵1/n

This morning, a man walks past students waiting to board their coach for a trip outside school. One remarks, 'That looks like that @MichaelRosenYes guy'. The man stops and says, 'That's because I am Michael Rosen!'
Thank you for talking to our students, you made their day!
I really enjoyed Scenes of a Graphic Nature by @Czaroline this summer. It’s really got everything, mystery, history, politics, identity, romance, loss and a dog called Satan. I read it in 2 days. #BookReview #readingforpleasure #BookTwitter
Rodham by @csittenfeld is the best thing I read this summer. Sliding doors-esq imagination of a world where Hilary said no to Bill. Loved it. #readingforpleasure #clinton #feministbookclub #BookReview #BookTwitter
SO excited to be looking at our new @LibraryHHS lesson timetable. There will be students in the library for the first time in nearly two years! 🤩🤩🤩

Sadly, we won't be able to loan students books over the summer while we're reorganising the library. Luckily, we're doing a sign-up drive with @haringeylibrary! Come to Mr Auerbach George to get your sign-up form verified and you can pick up your card today

The figures are in and we can officially announce the most-borrowed books at Heartlands this year! 🤯 Which ones have you read? As the school librarian, I'm not surprised to see @Zendibble's writing dominating the charts 📚 #GreatSchoolLibraries
Ghosts by @dollyalderton Very close at times and perfectly observed, namely Nina’s argument with her friend. So relateable. Would recommend! #bookreview #readingforpleasure
People of Abandoned Character. Quick, easy read set in Victorian London from the POV of a woman who suspects her husband is Jack the Ripper. 8/10.😌🔪🩸🩺

If you’re passing by Alexandra Palace train station (on your way here to @bluehouseyard!), pop in and see our tenant @art_by_eq on the final stage of his #allypallymural for @AllyPallySt.
Seems to be getting a lot of love already.

The wizard at work! @art_by_eq sprinkling his magic and outstanding passion for this project! 🙌 Not only the station & Bedford Rose Garden, but trains from 1850s-2020s, @Yourallypally, @startinggateN22, @HHSHaringey, @SiemensMobility and the 💚 of @haringeycouncil in one mural!
