Have you put up your Halloween decor? The night sky will add the finishing touch. 🌕
October’s full moon, named the Hunter’s Moon, will rise on the night of Oct. 26. Its name comes from the seasonal practice of hunters relying on bright moonlight.
Just finished parent conferences last week. Now this week, I’m working on report cards, along with Red Ribbon Week, Halloween, and I hear there’s a full moon. October is not for the weak 🥴😵💫
Sometimes I wonder if educational publishing companies think about who they’re making curriculum for. Why did you need to include “ditty” as a vocab word or a text with the word “balls” several times for 5th graders?! 😭🙃😆
On a side note, I don’t think people realize how difficult it is to teach nowadays without a computer. You can’t use your document camera, no slides/powerpoints, or videos. Let’s just say, I talked way too much today. 🫠
So my laptop decided not to work today. I had to call the tech department in our district.
Them: Did you restart your computer?
😑🙄😭
(And yes, that was the first thing I tried when it didn’t work)
“That’s a big juicy one.”
“Is it a flying one?!”
Nothing like a giant cockroach climbing up the wall to completely derail your 5th graders as they’re calmly walking back to class. 🪳😭
While walking to lunch, a student’s water bottle fell and started rolling under the school gate and onto the sidewalk.
Me: I’ll unlock the gate, so you can go get it.
Student: I promise I won’t run away.
🙃😆😂
The day after a holiday, unexpected rain/thunderstorms during class, a student crying… but yes, sure it’s a great day for an unannounced observation. 😵💫
