finally caught up to where i was in the older version. got there much faster too despite playing an extra level. neat.

serious sam double barrel is kind of disappointing but the pump shotgun is nice

it's maybe the most human of weapons. simple, reliable, crude, incredibly effective.

truly the humble shotgun is the greatest of fps weapons. the less human the enemy, the better the shotgun is thematically. there's an undeniable appeal in slaughtering a superior alien force, the forces of hell, etc, with such a simple weapon.

was going to play the original release instead but i got about 4 hours in and it turns out lighting in it doesn't play nice with this setup. underwater is just opaque. found a secret level this time that i missed before though.
