When algorithms seem to hear your conversations 😏… @ChrisJaegle @ShortsScience – at Lisle, IL
58% of students are using generative AI tools, but many schools don't have clear policies on how to use AI ethically and responsibly. We’re excited to have supported the development of the AI Guidance for Schools Toolkit with #TeachAI! ➡️ bit.ly/3M5KXTv

I love this use of the drop down! A nice way to expedite the feedback process
I am using the drop down options in Google Docs to give students feedback. Very handy. #googleEDU

I would even say ... maybe stop using statements at all. Forward face questions to kids that will lead them to the objective or statement. I mean why give the ending away :)
Please stop using “I can” statements as learning targets & success criteria. Please use “We are learning to..” WALT and WILL (what it looks like) instead. Need to think about #SEL & mental health impact for Ss who “can’t”. WALT & WILL accomplish learning goal w/out negatives.

February moment. #relatable
The point of reviewing your mistakes isn't to shame your past self. It's to educate your future self. Rumination is recycling old thoughts about what went wrong. Reflection is looking for new insights on how to do better. You can't undo last year. You can improve this one.
Today, we remember the life of Martin Luther King Jr. and reflect on the wisdom he shared with us. Let us not the mistake of constraining his philosophy to only one day, and instead, continue to incorporate his ideas as we push forward into the year.

Consider this your semi-regular reminder to read: Past the headline ✔️ Past the tweet ✔️ Past the meme (which is NOT news) ✔️ The full article (& then search for more information if you're not sure of its credibility) ✔️ #NewsLiteracy

All teachers have explored and worked hard to use edtech in engaging ways this year; but, which edtech platforms actually engage AND strengthen the 4Cs of 21st Century learning? Time to reflect and consider them with intention. @kimdarche #edtechusf
Today, there's no shortage of apps, websites, and games that claim to be educational. But what's really best for learning? Here are some tips that will help you look beyond the labels to get the most out of digital media. #digcit #distancelearning #edtech

A5: Students used Google Draw to complete peer feedback sessions remotely today, then met in breakout rooms to verbally discuss their feedback on the student editorials. #edtechusf

A3: I found myself being more deliberate with which assessments I provide written feedback on; I also started giving more real-time feedback, both in-person/conference and via multimedia. #edtechusf

A2: I think some level of virtual support/learning will remain in place along with a redefined “flipped classroom”. More direct instruction recorded, preserving class time for collaboration, discussion, workshop. #edtechusf

Ooops...I flip-flopped the first and last question (had them pre-written). Let's try this again...BEST advice ever given: Model the mindset essential for critical thinking and communication: be inquisitive, open-minded, listen. 🙃 #edtechusf

The old “Close your door and teach” line always strikes a nerve with me. Collaboration is key to learning and progress. #edtechusf
