😭 A new student who speaks Swahili arrived. Another student jumped up to help. I was surprised by the S’s eagerness to help b/c he often downplayed his L1. He told me today, “I keep my Swahili to myself, but I can help.” We have such kind kids @Seneca_High! #SenecaSoars #JCPSML

Just you typical day at Seneca! Our girls and boys volleyball teams played a game to fundraise for our Junior class and we met Iggy the baby goat who celebrated her 1 week birthday! Only at Seneca!

Seneca’s proposed start time for the 23-24 school year is 8:40. We currently have 2 busses that are always late. If affects 125 of our scholars. They miss 120-160 minutes of instruction on a weekly basis. We must change to new start times for all levels. #knowbetterdobetter

The proposed start times changes are difficult, but needed. With change, comes discomfort, but frankly, what we are doing right now is outdated and not best for students. 3 million instructional minutes lost. #WeAreJCPS #MiddleLeads
