#LGBTQI+ICONS – BEVERLEY PALESA DITSIE Beverley Palesa Ditsie (born 1971) is a dedicated South African lesbian activist, artist, and filmmaker. Did you know she co-founded the Gay and Lesbian Organization of Witwatersrand? Ditsie played a pivotal role in organizing South Africa's first Pride March, which took place in Johannesburg in 1990, inspired by Simon Nkoli's experiences in America.
