من المتوقع أن يوفر المشروع أكثر من ألفي فرصة عمل مباشرة وما يزيد على عشرة آلاف فرصة غير مباشرة، إضافة إلى تحقيق الاكتفاء الذاتي وتقليل فاتورة استيراد الحديد المقدّرة بنحو 50 مليون دولار شهرياً، بما يسهم في المحافظة على النقد الأجنبي ودعم استقرار العملة الوطنية وخفض تكاليف البناء.
