five things from this week in Kaspa dev. i have numbered them to appear organized. 1 / KCC standards KCC1, KCC2 and KCC20 are now Final. devs have shared conventions for how covenants, permissions and fungible tokens work together, ready for wallets and apps to adopt. teapawt.org/kccforum/status/211292… 2 / wallet public keys @OriNewman proposed a wallet convention that keeps public keys hidden until funds are spent, reducing their exposure to future quantum attackers. originally KIP22, it’s now under review as a KCC. spending still reveals the key. github.com/kaspanet/kccs/pul… 3 / Kaspa Privacy Initiative @WellerOlaf shared a private-payment experiment on testnet, followed by a recovery test. wallets were restored and the full test balance withdrawn with the original app controller disabled. the rest of the test infrastructure stayed available. still experimental. github.com/olafweller/kaspa-… 4 / Kastle @KastleWallet added support for dotK names. users can view, register and transfer their .k names inside the wallet. the mobile update is rolling out, with name support also available in the extension. teapawt.org/KastleWallet/status/21… 5 / KaspaDollar @asaefstroem is leading a new initiative to build an overcollateralized stablecoin on Kaspa, backing each dollar of tokens with more than a dollar of collateral. development, research and an independent audit are still ahead. teapawt.org/KaspaDollar/status/211…
Today we are introducing KaspaDollar, an initiative led by core developer @asaefstroem to build the first decentralized stablecoin on the $KAS network. The developments around @kccforum and the Toccata hardfork have considerably widened what Kaspa is capable of. Capability alone, however, does not make an ecosystem. Decentralized finance requires a unit of account that holds its value, and until Kaspa has a stablecoin of its own, every application built on it will remain dependent on assets issued elsewhere. The design we intend to follow is the decentralized, overcollateralized stablecoin: a pattern whose security properties have been examined and tested across the industry for the better part of a decade. With the support of the core team, we consider the conditions right to bring it to Kaspa. Realizing this requires development, an independent audit, further research, and the operational work of taking a protocol from specification to production. To fund it, we are opening a fundraiser with a target of 5,000,000 KAS. Contributions are made directly to the fundraising address published on the website. Should the target not be reached by 1 January 2027, every contribution will be returned to the address from which it was sent. Up until that point, this account will share the plans, details and progress of the work as it develops.

i’ll do everything in my power on the technical side to help this initiative move forward and navigate any protocol-level obstacles along the way. on a personal note, Alex has a rare mix of technical depth, bizdev talent and deep Kaspa knowledge. i honestly can’t think of anyone better suited to lead it, and i really appreciate him taking this on

programmability on steroids
Greetings $KAS. KCC-1, KCC-2 and KCC-20 are now Final, meaning they are ready for full adoption across the ecosystem. We invite Kaspa builders to join the public KCC channel to ask questions, get support, discuss implementations and share what you build. Come build with us.

composability between native covenants is ready (and is the key for eg all the dexs you’ll see over kcc20 tokens soon). sync composability between vprogs isn’t

KaspaCom Markets is coming to Kaspa mainnet KaspaCom Markets is bringing KCC20 order book trading natively to Kaspa L1, fully decentralized and self-custodial. Limit Orders. Market Orders. Trade on your terms. The KCC20 standard is almost ready. So are we. Mainnet is next. ⚡️

$KAS could be one of the most interesting setups in crypto if Toccata delivers. Kaspa spent years being valued mainly as a fast PoW payment network. Now it has programmable UTXOs, covenants and ZK verification on L1. That changes the potential market completely. If developers start building DeFi, stablecoins and other applications on Kaspa while ~96% of KAS is already mined and issuance keeps falling… I think the market could eventually value $KAS very differently from a “PoW coin”.

I think the problem with crypto gaming is that each game always required another token specific to that game. Ended up just being used to extract from players. If you want crypto gaming to be a success with a coin use the native L1 like $KAS for everything. $KAS has the power to BE THE MoE. Stop making new tokens for everything when we have one of the most efficient programmable L1 PoW digital currency in the world. Tokens should be an exception not a starting point. Treat $KAS as holding a share of a stock. What you build using $KAS as the foundation supports the project as a whole! Builders who keep value inside $KAS are aligning their product with the base layer instead of siphoning it into a side token that dies when the marketing cycle ends. $KAS is never dependent on your single product to stay alive and in demand. If it gets used by tons of different players then you never have to worry about hype fading from $KAS like you do when you build a token for only 1 specific purpose.

It is now possible to write readable Smart Contracts on Kaspa! @Kaspaunchained announced the launch of Silverscript v1, a high-level smart contract language designed to streamline the development of complex, stateful applications on the Kaspa ledger. The language removes the technical overhead of raw opcodes, reducing thousand-line implementations into 60-line, human- and AI-readable scripts. This aims to foster faster innovation in UTXO-based finance. The release marks the conclusion of an eight-month development cycle alongside the Toccata framework, providing developers with the tools to build sophisticated token mechanisms and layered abstractions. "This completes the journey we started eight months ago with Toccata — it's finally possible to write human- (and AI-) readable smart contracts on Kaspa," core developer @OriNewman stated. Worth noting that the KCC20 standard is still not live yet.

Welcome, Brice. Fun fact: Kaspa Founder Yonatan (@hashdag) wrote the GHOST protocol in 2013. Ethereum's yellow paper cites it as the basis for their consensus. You're not "coming to Kaspa from ETH" — you're going back to the source. Framework holds. $KAS
