Possibly the wildest community note I’ve ever seen? What is even going on with this game at this point

Earlier this month, there was a massive controlled hate campaign against PewDiePie on this website, millions of views and countless interactions. The reason? Someone found a video of his son wearing a dress from over a month ago. Twitter made it seem like his career was essentially over. The result? His most recent upload has over 10 million views, and an incredible 99% to 1% like to dislike ratio with over 17,000 supportive comments. When content creators reach out for advice on Twitter or Reddit hate threads, I tell them that it's nothing more than noise pollution. Some might dismiss it as a cheap platitude, but I mean it 99.99% of the time, this right here is proof. Remember this, the only people you need to please is your core community. As soon as you start catering to Twitter or Reddit, you relinquish your free will forever for people who never even liked you or watched you.

This was just uploaded on MightyMikePlays’ channel, but during the whole gameplay we don’t get to hear Mike once. The gameplay is also on console, every other video is on PC. “Mighty Dave” seems to be trying to use his son as a shield, and the comments are roasting him hard 💀

I genuinely have no idea what he could hope to say in his upcoming update/video, but seeing that the merch store is still live, it's getting hard to believe that there will be any remorse...

A story that tugs at the heart strings, a dad that simply wanted to spend time with his kid through their love of video games and Youtube, would later find out that $118k from his corporate credit card would vanish because his 9 year old wanted to buy views for his channel. As everyone was getting ready to help in any way they could, the entire story would start falling apart in less than 96 hours, shattering all good will and ruining what could have been a wonderful story with a very wholesome ending. Most people, including myself, wanted to believe the father and help in any way possible, even if there were a couple of inconsistencies. This new video however, throws all good will out of the window. For starters, no company in the United States can force you to “pay back” anything in “30 days”, you have to voluntarily agree on a payment plan. If no agreement is made, it becomes a civil lawsuit and takes months to resolve, so what is this 30 day countdown? It’s also interesting how he supposedly got this information during a weekend? This of course is just the tip of the iceberg unfortunately, and it sucks to have to doubt something like this to begin with… I think a video might be necessary
