❌📊 The algorithm wont wash when I’m knocking on doors in Clara ! Politicians shouldn’t be reluctant to overrule the civil service when sound, evidence-based policy justifies it.

Can't wrap my head around all the other players leaving Gavin Bazunu to do this on his own. Absolutely disgusting from each and every one of them The 8 who voted to not play should have walked with him

Everyone has been asked not to direct their anger at the players but then we learn that Bazunu was ostracised. One player had the gall to confront him about the moral stance he’s taking. This stinks and that player, whoever he is, should feel nothing but shame. Terrible situation

Big read here on an abject, rancorous, extraordinary day. The potential scale of fallout to come is the stuff of Saipan 2.0 Ireland v Israel: Day of Infamy exposes serious lack of leadership in FAI irishtimes.com/sport/soccer/…

Ireland v Israel: Day of infamy exposes serious lack of leadership in FAI

Gavin Bazunu has been left brutally isolated as any semblance of squad unity has been utterly sundered

This is deeply troubling if true. The idea that Bazunu has been left isolated for his courage is appalling.

Extraordinary this from Brian Kerr: - Spoken with Gavin Bazunu who’s feeling quite low and shunned by players/FAI - Suggested to him it’d be better he left the squad for remainder of this window - Wasn’t told about meeting this morning - Wasn’t there for vote this morning (his vote was assumed by other players) 🎥 @VMSportIE

Gavin Bazunu, only 24 years old and more backbone than any of these other cunts. He has more to lose but is standing up for what’s right! May nothing but amazing opportunities come his way! As for the fai and the team who’ve hung him out to dry? Sold your souls #stopthegame

The FAI is irredeemable. Unfixable. Utterly incorrigible. Knock it down and start all over again from scratch. An omnishambles. 🙄🙄🙄 #stopthegames

It is with profound sadness that we are announcing the death of our former player Jacko McDonagh. Jacko played on the four-in-a-row team at Milltown in 1983/84 and 1984/85, the latter season having won the league and FAI Cup double. shamrockrovers.ie/news/forme…

This makes a mockery of VAR. Two goals ruled out and some v questionable and unwarranted calls. Time for a review @ScottishFA @spfl @UEFA @FIFAcom but doubt @spfl will do anything. Btw, Celtic won so this isn't sour grapes. Sad to see the game being ruined by poor use of VAR

VAR steps in to reveal they can't confirm onside because they don't have a camera angle that Includes the last defender. The assistant ref is in full view and perfectly inline the whole way and doesn't flag, none of the players claimed for it, the ref didn't seem to think it was either. VAR tells the ref to look at the monitor to see the same inconclusive proof they have. 1) why don't we trust the linesman 2) why is var interfering when it's got no evidence for the ref 3) how can the ref look at inconclusive footage and then over turn it? Embarrassing from start to finish, from camera's and tech to the officials
