I think many of us working in tech tend to forget that the reason software engineering vs other engineering fields pays (a lot!) more, is a lot more flexible (WFH/remote), and has better perks: Because this field changes much faster than other engineering fields. The premium is because fewer people are able/willing to pick up new technologies, methodologies so quickly. But the field had ~10-20 years of stability, and so lots of folks forgot this is why a premium exists. And that AI is just another tech wave: software engineers who pick it up and master it will generally fare better; those not will struggle a lot more.

We're adding support for AGENTS.md to Claude Code. Starting today in version 2.1.277, if there is no CLAUDE.md in a folder, Claude will check for and use AGENTS.md. You can toggle this behavior in /config.

Here's some gameplay of the ported game!
It is a game from early 2000s that I used to play when i was a kid. When I tried to bring back those memories by playing again, I found out that this was done on Macromedia Director, which is now obsolete. So i ported to static html with Codex! spaced-penguins-remastered.v…

Last @gmail web update put A LOT of friction. My average time there is probably 3 secs: 1. go to gmail.com 2. g+l+"unread"+enter (to see the unread emails) 3. select with "x" and move with j/k 4. select "b" to delete those i dont want 5. Ctrl+w to delete

Now I keep receiving this console.alert which previously it appeared when i was too fast and changes weren't saved yet, but it was matter to wait 1 or 2 secs to try to close the tab again. But now, this takes forever, and even I force close, it saves the changes. Why?

If someone knows an email web client that is as much or even faster than gmail, i am open to even deprecate my gmail frequent account to any other provider if this means i can still check mails fast.

Nuevo post en el blog: Los agentes de IA deben ser efímeros. El agente sirve para descubrir. Cuando el patrón ya existe, toca convertirlo en código determinista y reproducible. Menos hype, más software. thelaziest.dev/los-agentes-d…
