Kenan just casually drops that Santa hit somebody with the sleigh and “don’t like to talk about it,” right after pointing out how weird it is that the man watches you sleep.
Then he pivots straight into getting fired from the North Pole for hooking up with Mrs. Claus (cocoa, pumpkin risotto, the works) and now just sliding white envelopes full of 20s and 50s to everyone on the naughty list while refusing to explain where the money comes from. Kevin Bacon is “just my homie” for no reason at all.
Go ahead, be naughty. I got you. That line hits different when you realize Sump’n Claus is basically running Christmas like a side hustle after getting banned
Halloween Session
Happy Halloween, friends!
King Diamond and DOOM were meant to be played today.
Waiting for my amazing wife to be ready and then we hit up a Halloween market in Pittsburgh and then taking her to get a spooky flash tattoo event at our favorite artist. Then, we hand out candy together; a tradition we started when we first met in 2019.
I hope you all have a wonderfully spooky Halloween! ✌🏻🎃

In 1987, Patrick Stewart refused to unpack his suitcase for six straight weeks.
My throat still tightens every time I read why.
Every Hollywood insider told the 47-year-old British stage actor that Star Trek: The Next Generation would be a disaster. Even his closest friend, Ian McKellen, begged him not to throw away his Shakespearean career on a television gamble.
Stewart kept his bags packed by the door, waiting to be fired and sent home to London.
That "six-week failure" lasted 36 years.
Watching him late at night here in Japan, we saw something Hollywood never expected.
In Japan, we call this quiet, unbreakable spirit "Fudoshin," an immovable heart under fire.
Most action heroes scream and fire weapons to look strong.
Captain Picard never needed to raise his voice.
Born into deep poverty in Yorkshire, terrified of a violent home, he left school at age 15 and lost all his hair by 19, convinced his life as an actor was over before it began.
Yet one English teacher, Cecil Dormand, handed that frightened 12-year-old boy a copy of Shakespeare, said "Read it out loud," and secretly paid for his first drama course.
Never forget what happened decades later.
On the morning Queen Elizabeth II knighted him as Sir Patrick Stewart, he invited that same retired schoolteacher to sit beside him at his knighthood luncheon.
No suitcase left unpacked.
No rage on the bridge.
Just a cup of Earl Grey tea, a tug of his uniform, and three quiet words that commanded the galaxy:
"Make it so."
He passed away at 86 surrounded by live music, prayer, tears, and laughter.
And this December, in Avengers: Doomsday, Professor X will grace the screen one final time.
A boy who thought he wouldn't last six weeks in Hollywood gave the world an eternity of nobility.
From Japan, with tears and our deepest salute:
Thank you, Captain. Engage. ✨🖖🇯🇵

Patrick was one of those icons who we somehow all took for granted would always be with us.
I grew up as a fan, and was later gifted the privilege of becoming a colleague and friend, working with him for many years on “American Dad!”, “Family Guy”, and “Ted”. He was that rare actor who could take any bit of dialogue and elevate it, making a good writer sound great, and a great writer sound masterful. He was also as humble as they come. I remember exchanging emails with him a number of years ago when he was beginning day 1 of a new film. He commented to me that he always walked onto a new set feeling like the biggest novice there. My stunned reaction was the same as anyone’s would be. I said, “Patrick, if you feel that way, the rest of us are screwed.” We have lost a legendary actor today, and for many of us, a good friend. He will be deeply missed by the entire planet.

Sir Patrick Stewart reveals he called a meeting with the Star Trek cast because they were having too much fun.
Before he became one of television’s most iconic captains, Sir Patrick Stewart approached Star Trek: The Next Generation as if he were performing Shakespeare.
Conan O’Brien: “You said, ‘I’m going to approach this as if it’s Lear or Hamlet.’ That’s the seriousness with which I’m going to take this.”
Sir Patrick Stewart: “I thought it was too internal, too restrained, too solitary, too unconnected with the others. So I resolved that from the start of the second season, I would begin to open him up and let him out.”
That change helped shape Picard over seven seasons, four movies, and eventually Star Trek: Picard.
But Sir Patrick Stewart also took his leadership role behind the scenes seriously. Halfway through the first season, he called a meeting with the cast because he believed being captain meant more than playing the leader of the Enterprise.
Sir Patrick Stewart: “I’m captain of the Enterprise. But because I’d led companies on in the theater, I felt this should be my role here. I’m a leader, not just of Starfleet, but of this band of people who are working these endless days.”
“We have got to make their lives easier, and the problem is we are having too much fun.”

Patrick Stewart once found himself joking with Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr about being three knights at the same table. No grand speech, no performance. Just a moment of shared laughter.
A long career leaves behind more than great roles. It leaves moments people remember.

Something crazy happened last night at the @SanJoseSharks game. I had a hard time sleeping because I couldn't stop thinking about it. And luckily I documented the whole thing.
You've heard of, "Pay It Forward?" I call this, "Collect It Forward." Promise me you'll hang till the end. This will probably be the best thing you see today!

Many of Captain Picard's words provided a guiding light that shaped and impacted my early adulthood and inspired me to be a better person. In Darmok, Picard makes a friend he very soon has to lose, but he has learned from him, and that you keep people alive by telling their stories. I'll have a memorial in the morning (CT). You know where and when. We'll tell stories.
