The question @JasJohalBC should be asking is: why @BizCouncilBC picked a 7 year sample period?
Does it align with the NDP in power? No.
Is it a standard metric? Also no.
It cherry-picks the start date to manipulate the graph to sensationalize the results.
The reality is when you dig into the data using a 10 year period, *front line* job growth in the direct public service was 28% over a year while senior management increased 52% over the same period.
Front line workers are not causing any bloat. In fact we have an average per capita civil service.

We have 15,430 beekeepers in Canada. We export about $60 million of honey a year, $40 million of that to the USA. That honey now has a 50% tariff and our farmers are going to have a tough time selling it.
Canada imports a lot of honey, about $73 million of it. Some of it isn’t even real honey (seriously it’s faked with rice and cane syrups eww).
Check the labels. As a country we are spending $73 million on imported honey and looking at loosing $40 million in exported honey to the USA. It’s kinda simple math. Buy Canadian honey.

Jacob Flickinger (a Canadian), and 6 other aid workers, were deliberately targetted and killed by Israel 2.5 years ago.
Israel has targetted and killed ~560 aid workers and >1,800 health workers in Palestine and Lebanon.
There has been no accountability or justice.

In April 2024, an Israeli airstrike deliberately killed Canadian aid worker Jacob Flickinger and 6 others who were part of a World Central Kitchen humanitarian convoy in Gaza. At the time, PM Trudeau called for a "fully open, transparent, independent and rapid investigation."
Two years later, an internal review by the Israeli army has decided that the attack "did not cross the criminal threshold" and there will be no criminal investigation or further measures.
This is a complete failure of accountability. Will @MarkJCarney allow Israel to get away with the murder of a Canadian aid worker, with no consequences? Or will he condemn this sham whitewashing exercise for what it is, and finally impose sanctions against this genocidal regime?
