The room was hot that night in Lagos. We were five friends in my small sitting room, playing Truth or Dare after too much soft drink and small chops. The generator hummed outside, and the fan turned slowly above us. It started as a joke. My friend dared her to kiss me on the cheek. She did it fast, laughing. Then it was my turn. I picked dare too.
