Capping off a busy two days at Starbase, Ship 43 is back on the ground after catch-related testing similar to what Ship 42 did. Here's a timelapse of its day. I bet it had a nice view of the Ship 42 static fire from up there! 🎥: nsf.live/starbase | @NASASpaceflight

Cowboy Space Corp. unveils their launch vehicle, and it's a familiar story. They claim a first launch in 2028... but if every single other launch company is anything to go by, I'm saying next decade. Methalox & Steel. 9x engines Stage 1, 1x engine Stage 2. Slightly wider & taller than Falcon 9, same height as Terran R. The first stage booster is reusable. After launch, it plans to conduct a downrange landing on an ocean platform, just like Falcon 9 and New Glenn. The upper stage of the rocket turns into an Artificial Intelligence data center satellite. The fairings turn into radiators, the electric propulsion propellant (ammonia) is used as coolant. Engine is called Clydesdale, advertised 1,334kN thrust, about half Raptor 3's advertised thrust. Targeting multiple launches daily. It's very early days for this company, but the second-stage-is-a-satellite is unique in the AI era. Will be interesting to see how they evolve.
What you’ve been waiting for: Big Iron. Our rocket.

Today was a busy day at Starbase! Ship 43 (Flight 16) took a stroll to Pad 2, likely for catch testing ahead of Flight 15. Stay tuned to see what happens next! (Audio warning as the ship passes our highway camera! Brrrrrtttttt.) @NASASpaceflight | nsf.live/starbase

‘Taking Flight’ (nearly).  Our beautiful Artemis III Space Launch System (SLS) Core Stage left the surface of the earth (briefly) today as it ‘flew over the hump’ via a giant crane in the Vehicle Assembly Building to be mated between our 2 already assembled Solid Rocket Boosters on the Mobile Launcher.  Spectacular job by our SLS, Exploration Ground Systems, and  @NASAKennedy team! Go @NASAArtemis III!
