Parents: Got a teen preparing to get their permit?
As of Oct. 1, they no longer need a Driver Eligibility Certificate to get a limited learner’s permit. It’s one less document for you to track down.
Starting today, NC no longer requires you to carry physical proof of your registration or put a sticker on your license plate. That’s it. Nothing else has changed. You can still renew your registration online, in-person, or by mail.
