CHEMISTRY MEETS CREATIVITY: What happens when chemistry meets creativity? At Notre Dame Prep, it adds up to one very cool Mole Day! Celebrated every October 23, Mole Day honors Avogadro’s number (6.022 × 10²³), a number so enormous it’s hard to imagine. Our upper school chemistry students are bringing it to life by calculating what a mole of everyday objects would look like in the real world. One example? A mole of gummy bears lined end-to-end could stretch across the Milky Way multiple times! From creative calculations and videos to cupcakes, cookies and original rap songs, our students are making chemistry memorable, hands-on and fun. Dr. Shaun Bruno's AP Chemistry got an early start, with IB and general chemistry classes joining the celebration today. Another day of curiosity, creativity and discovery at NDP! FAITH: THE HEART OF AN NDP EDUCATION At Notre Dame Prep, faith formation begins early and grows with our students. In the lower school, young learners encounter Scripture, prayer and the beauty of the Catholic faith through developmentally appropriate experiences, including Catechesis of the Good Shepherd and weekly Mass. Daily prayer and opportunities to live out Gospel values help make faith a natural part of each child's school experience. As students progress through middle and upper school, that foundation deepens through the study of Scripture, Catholic teaching, the sacraments, moral theology, Church history and Catholic social teaching — always with an emphasis on putting faith into action. It all reflects our mission to work with God to form Christian people, upright citizens and academic scholars — young people whose faith informs not only what they know, but how they live. Discover more about faith formation at NDP in the recent article, “Forming Faithful, Thoughtful Graduates.” ➡️ ndprep.org/forming-faithful-… #NotreDamePrep #CatholicEducation #DoingTheWorkOfMary #FaithFormation #MaristEducation
