Simply turning his back towards her and beginning to walk away waving his hand as a sign of goodbye to her: if she wanted the truth, sheโd had to look around the entire city herself.

His bullshitting was nothing new to her, especially after the many times they have met already.
They worked together on multiple occasions, after all.
โ We do seem to end up at the same place often. But it's mostly because I patrol around these parts and you have

so I wonโt waste your time since Iโve heard someone from the city in the sky touched down into New Eridu recently so be careful. โ
He had given her free information, for her lips being sealed.

Your bar here โ
She could tell he was trying to run away back into his bar so he wouldn't have to bother himself with this, but his offered information did catch her by surprise.
The city in the sky? She had heard some rumours about it, but never seen any evidence.

As much as Zhu Yuan believed in Justice and did her best to uphold it, even she understood that nothing in this City is black and white.
She had her moments when she falsified reports or overlooked certain things. It was rare, but it did happen from time to time.

Testimony, she could tell that he wasn't completely honest with her. One of her skills was telling when people were lying.
โ If you are certain that's what happened, then the case is closed already. If they shot each other, we have no one to chase or arrest โ

She gave him a look. She gave him THE look, look that said she knew he wasn't telling the truth, but was willing to let it slide because he helped her a few times.

The moment she realised who this "witness" was, her crimson eyes rolled, a soft aigh leaving her lips.
โ We meet again, mister "Joyous" โ
Zhu Yuan and Joyous had quite a history. She usually patrolled around Watson and Little China, making sure there was no crime

Almost immediately dodging the question seemingly as happy as he could be.

Him.
One of the few people in this city who were atleast decent, though she still kept an eye on him so he wouldn't try to play cop.
โ Busy, as you can see. You know how life is for an honest cop in this city. Anyway, do you know anything about this case? โ

While she didn't exactly like him, she always appreciated his help. Not many people actually worked with Public Security.

Brilliant mind at work, analysing and checking the evidence, placement and the crime scene, already making some connections.
Writing down some notes, the captain soon headed over towards the supposed eye witness: ๐น๐๐๐
