good take on recent solana:CARDSccUMFKoPRZxt5vt3ksUbxEFEcnZ3H2pd3dKxYjp price action yes, it does have annoying pa, this has unfortunately been consistent the past year, despite team not selling and burning team allo instead recent price action to me comes off of a few things : binance hack, midterm and iran war scares, and the constant bunch of ct midwits that are, for the 10th time this year, declaring pokemon over even if that were accurate, and one could easily look into the history of many of them and what typically happens when zerohedge posts about it, which is to say, closer to the bottom than the top, solana:CARDSccUMFKoPRZxt5vt3ksUbxEFEcnZ3H2pd3dKxYjp profit and revenue doesn't depend on pokemon topping currently, solana:CARDSccUMFKoPRZxt5vt3ksUbxEFEcnZ3H2pd3dKxYjp is spinning up a competitor to a $20 billion valuation competitor (whatnot), is spinning up their own version of HLP for collectibles (let's call it CLP) which will drive down inventory costs considerably, and is delivering a superior experience to ebay, gamestop, auction houses (which charge 20-25% fees), and soon whatnot, with more liquidity and less fees I find people often think of solana:CARDSccUMFKoPRZxt5vt3ksUbxEFEcnZ3H2pd3dKxYjp as a trade just being about pokemon, but that's the wrong way to think about it $cards is aiming to become the liquidity layer for tokenized collectibles, and that is a dramatically larger market than just pokemon
solana:CARDSccUMFKoPRZxt5vt3ksUbxEFEcnZ3H2pd3dKxYjp is down -40% from its recent high 2 weeks ago, with the market being bumpy in general and the timeline full of doomers calling the top and declaring the Pokémon bubble burst. yet October was an ATH month for Collector Crypt, printing $17.4M in net revenue. that's $209M (net!) annualized. and yet, some of the biggest catalysts in its history haven't even been released or come to light. ones that will: 1) massively increase their distribution 2) let them further verticalize the entire stack, continuing to expand both their moat and their revenue streams 3) keep expanding horizontally, making them less dependent on TCGs alone and more on collectibles as a whole, for anyone worried about a bubble here genuinely didn't expect to see an entry this good in solana:CARDSccUMFKoPRZxt5vt3ksUbxEFEcnZ3H2pd3dKxYjp again. a generational opportunity into one of the best onchain businesses in the entire space. ironically the same people who cried about being sidelined at the ATH won't have the balls to buy this dip either. they never do.

most people only just discovered @Collector_Crypt and are probably wondering: what the hell is even Ripmart? there‘s been a lot of rumors and speculation around it, but this recent livestream by @TuomHolmberg and @chrisakvn essentially says it all. so let me break it down for you: one of the fastest growing trends in commerce right now is live shopping. Pioneered by Whatnot, and now followed by essentially every big platform: TikTok Shop, eBay Live, you name it. think of Ripmart as the first truly onchain native version of something like Whatnot, powered by Collector Crypt's infrastructure. why is this so exciting? a few reasons. the UX. as a collector, you don't rip packs on a livestream just because it's fun. you do it chasing that one grail you've always wanted. most of the time you don't hit it, that's part of the game, and you end up at home with a pile of worthless cards you never wanted and spent way too much money on. with Collector Crypt underneath, Ripmart changes that. instant liquidity through buyback offers, just like you know from the gacha. you can immediately sell back, preserve your liquidity, and get way more runway to keep chasing the grail you actually want, while no more pile of worthless cards at home. sounds simple, but that one feature gives collectors a 10x better experience (and likely also success rate in finding their grail). which makes choosing Ripmart over Whatnot and the rest a no brainer going forward. then there is the onchain adoption. the onchain part is obviously fully abstracted away. it just feels like using a slick new livestreaming and social app. but what that means for @solana and @Collector_Crypt is massive. this is one of those rare events that could onboard hundreds of thousands, maybe millions of users onchain without them even realizing it, driven purely by their love for collectibles and a genuinely great shopping experience. and let this sink in: every single pack ripped gets tokenized in real time through Collector Crypt's infrastructure. the supply of tokenized collectibles on Solana is about to explode. it brings a ton of liquidity to Collector's marketplace, better discovery, and adds an entirely new, highly sought after asset class on top: ungraded cards. the traction this brings to CC and Solana is going to be huge. and the best part: it's fully organic and therefore sustainable, driven by an asset class people genuinely love and an experience orders of magnitude better than anything out there today. and of course, Tuom wouldn't be Tuom if there wasn't a lot more going on behind the scenes, stuff beyond most people's imagination, that'll make sure Ripmart isn't just a nice idea but gets the adoption it deserves from day one. but more on that later, once the time is right. until then: Tuom mode.

Something I wanted to highlight, because every now and then I come across the take that Courtyard is the leading onchain collectibles platform. It's not. @Collector_Crypt is. I'm not saying this because I'm an early investor. I'm saying it because @Blockworks data clearly shows it. I do understand why people think otherwise, because at first glance, Courtyard's cumulative revenue is twice as high as Collector's: $218M vs $104M. But in this specific case, it's far more important to look at GMV, which sits at $1.2B for Collector vs $960M for Courtyard. So Collector is significantly beating Courtyard on GMV and platform usage, even though Courtyard generates twice the revenue. In fact, Courtyard's net revenue margin is 30%, while Collector's is 9%. What does that mean? It means Courtyard is extracting a lot more from their customers. Whether that's a good thing for them or a sustainable approach remains to be seen, but I have my doubts. One of the biggest reasons onchain TCG platforms exist in the first place is how broken and expensive traditional rails like eBay, Goldin and co are. On top of that, investors here are looking at net onchain revenue, but before operational costs. I know for a fact that Collector is still running remarkably lean, with most of their success coming from highly effective sourcing and community building in Web3, which is slowly but surely growing beyond the crypto bubble too. Courtyard, on the other hand, is running a Web2-first approach since the early days, and people don't really realize how much capital they're spending on Meta ads and a much bigger, more corporate team. I wouldn't be surprised if Collector's EBITDA is significantly higher than Courtyard's. TLDR: Collector isn't just the incumbent in terms of usage and GMV. They also run a far more sustainable and collector-friendly approach, staying true to their vision of becoming the superior rails for chasing sought-after collectibles, over the legacy platforms from 20-30 years ago. If anything, it's easy to raise fees down the line once you have a strong customer base whose trust you've earned by serving them well long enough. But once customers feel they're being extracted from, they never come back. @Collector_Crypt should be the role model here.

The biggest catalysts I see for Collector Crypt over the next few months as one of their early investors: 1) The CLARITY Act and increasing regulatory clarity. Collector Crypt is probably THE project with the most attractive ratio of revenue generation to market cap out there, and the reason for that is that people have doubts about what they're actually buying with the token. Increasing regulatory clarity will clear those doubts out of the way and lead to a massive repricing. Those who put in the work now and decide for themselves how committed and trustable this team really is should benefit from that repricing, and from the massive discount available right now. On top of that, I'm firmly convinced it will be a huge edge for Collector down the line that they're specifically NOT burning 50-100% of their revenue on buybacks just to keep token holders and short term community members happy. Instead they reinvest it into the business to strengthen their market position and compound massively over time. 2) The Pokemon 30th anniversary is coming up next month. I think it's going to get really loud around Pokemon and TCGs again, both inside and outside of crypto. How could Collector Crypt not benefit from that. 3) The CARDS 1 year anniversary is also coming up next month. They've already announced the return of their "gacha games," which was a big success before, and I wouldn't be surprised if there are more surprises lined up, especially as it aligns with the Pokemon anniversary. Expect this to bring significant attention, users and volume back to both their gacha and their secondary marketplace. 4) They have a massive new product release coming up in October. I want to avoid saying too much, as it's highly confidential and they obviously want to remain competitive, but a few community members have already connected the dots and hinted at it. If you do some digging, you should be able to do the same. What I can say is that it will be a completely new product offering at a huge scale. I'm confident this will not only bring Collector Crypt to a huge number of non-crypto people and finally make it grow outside of this crypto echo chamber without people even realizing it, but at the same time bring huge amounts of supply onchain. I wish I could say more, but I strongly believe this will be the key differentiating factor for Collector Crypt to establish itself as the absolute incumbent, hit escape velocity, and grow at an unprecedented speed. 5) Overall market conditions. While I'm excited that they'll soon build market share outside of crypto too, the crypto native business is still hugely important. I was impressed by the volume crypto natives already drove on the platform during a bear market, so I don't even want to imagine the kind of volume they'll drive in a bull market, when everyone has made money and is far more willing to spend it loosely on things they love. To sum it up: I think the current $CARDS prices are an absolute blessing for anyone willing to do some research, and for those willing to think a bit longer term than 2 days. Sure, I might be biased here, as I'm an early investor in Collector Crypt. For what it's worth, we still hold our venture position despite the fact it's fully unlocked already, and bought even more on the liquid market. But that's also exactly why I'm close to the team and speak with them regularly, so I genuinely feel comfortable vouching for this team, their trustworthiness, and their commitment to their token holders. @TuomHolmberg will probably hate me for this tweet, but it's time for people to wake up to what might be one of the most underpriced assets and greatest onchain businesses in the entire industry.

Onchain platforms now capture 1/100 of the secondary collectible volume, while being 100x better rails. Reminds me of stablecoins in 2019, prediction markets in 2023 or prep DEXs in 2024. Painfully obvious.

Distribution is everything, and no one does it better on @solana than @JupiterExchange. -567.6K weekly active addresses (5% of all active Solana wallets) -$6.03B in weekly aggregator volume (72% market share) -$2B in lending deposits (48% market share) Jupiter is the current default front end for Solana. Now, with @Collector_Crypt's Gacha launching on Jupiter, Collector Crypt moves one step closer to the end consumer and dramatically lowers the friction for new users to discover the product. This has been the strategy all along. Today, 11% of packs opened already come through partners. Rather than acquiring every user directly, Collector Crypt plugs into platforms with existing distribution. Partners get an engaging product without needing to source, authenticate and manage a graded card inventory, while Collector Crypt gains access to their users and marketing reach. The next qn is wen @phantom!
Introducing Jupiter Gacha Real graded Pokémon & One Piece cards, fully onchain. Every pull is an authenticated slab, the same cards you chased as a kid, now tradeable on Jupiter. You can pull cards worth multiples of what you paid AND earn up to $100,000 rewards while you do it. Every Charizard, every grail, is one pull away from being gone. Someone's walking away with them. Better be you. Catch 'em all on Jupiter. Try the BETA today!

$CARDS 10x off the bottom for those who've been paying attention, has doubled in the past month will all relevant metrics still up & to the right good for solana to see another app having breakout success
this is a good article, covers a lot of the details on @Collector_Crypt, feels like it's mostly flew under the radar but one of the few crypto consumer apps that has been doing well w/ essentially all user & revenue metrics trending up & to the right apps with highest ceilings are the ones that also draw interest from crowds external to crypto, what was interesting about this specifically to me is that it's actually +EV for users to draw trading cards from the packs which is unlike 99% of the gacha models, emphasis on giving back to the users is apparent @solana needs more of these to continue doing well
